I read a dev post somewhere that said some races will have some of these features.. but it wasn't elaborated on very much.  I think someone was like "with only two starting cities and all the races mixed up are there still going to be racial bonuses?" and the dev was like yep.

    Here's what i know:
    - no race specific experience-bonus or -penalty like in EQ1
    - race specific vision effects still exist, in fact they plan to add more effects (something about echoes)
    These effects can be toggled

The only thing they have released are the points that everyone starts with (Agility, Strength, Intelligence....), that gives an idea at who would be good at what. I'm just glad that they wont have the experience bonus/penalty thing they had in the first one.

I don't think that races get specila bonesus. I think it has to do with which city you live in. Its not the city you start in because you can change cities at levlel 6 before you pick an archtype.

Totally wrong my man.  I'm not really sure where to start, but there will be multiple different types of visions, and depending upon your race you get that.  I have heard iksar and froglocks both get better swimming skill at start, dark elves get better hide, etc.  I also heard something about froglocks being able to breath underwater longer.  Now none of this truely effects the way your character fights or plays for the most part.  They are just minor things thrown out.

As for switching cities, that will be a quest only available between the levels of 15 to 20.
