If anyone knows a bit, A question about flying ...

freakomarfreakomar Member Posts: 415

Well heres the thing, they've made flying like a MAJOR part of the game unlike saay WoW.

But now will we get flying in the beginning? Or at endgame?

Personally I think it should be at like level 10 or so when the player gets used to the game a bit and finishes the tutorial, flying should be the last quest sequels reward... what do YOU think?

discuss.

Well you're in luck, they currently have people getting their wings at around level 10 :)

One of the devs confirmed that you get wings at level 10.

From what I read, there's a timer on your flight. When your flight bar is empty, you drop like a rock. Better hope there's something soft under you...

As to how long the flight timer is at level 10...Who knows? I haven't heard anything solid. I'd bet it's fairly short though.

Do some research before posting that kind of question... you will be able to fly anywhere you want for 1 minute.. thats it I don't know what's the recharge time of this skill though.

So far  the timer is currently at one minute. Now wether you will be able to expand this ability or not as you level is still in question. However, the area known as the Abyss offers freeflight mode, which makes sense going by the world's geographical design.

Hmm oh... 1 minute? Well thats kinda... lame... but oh well the game pwns nevertheless :)

    Thanks for the info

Maybe you should do some research yourself first before you tell others to do so. you will not be able to fly anywhere you want, you will be able to fly in many areas, but not all of them.

We know flight will be restricted with a timer. We've heard the limit to be 1 minute, but we don't know whether this timer will remain the same as we level up. So I wouldn't assume a limit of 1 minute just yet.

Flying seems like a lot of fun. I hope theres a skill to increase the time of flying. I know you can lose health when your wings go by by and you fall but can you die from falling?

  • BornathBornath Member Posts: 31

One of the devs said that you will get hurt when you fall so I'm pretty sure that you can die if you fall from a great distance.

In general most people want things handed to them including information that could easily be searched themselves. All we can do is continue to answer the same questions...

FarCry had ragdoll physics, I don't see why Aion shouldn't. Body parts might not fly off in random directions once you hit the ground, but your body might go almost-realistically limp. I say might because we haven't seen any really epic deaths yet. ;)
