There are two hero classes, not one in WoW

I never understood why blizzard just can not make the paladin better, and make him a hero class, he is a hero class. Read the lore on the paladin, all the way back to warcraft I the paladin was the leader the hero. So if blizzard improves this class greatly with new talents and talent changes as promised, wouldnt this class be considered a hero class?

the hero class is supposed to be a class like on top of your existing class

making one of the starting classes a hero class wouldn't really make much sense, all the players who weren't pallys would be like "wtf....."

it is true that the Paladin was one of the Hero classes of Warcraft III, so was the mage... but I do not think they will do something like that.

What is more probable that will happen is that they will make a Champion of the Light kinda of class that would fit the bill as an hero class.

Same for the mage, they will make an Archmage hero class.

Of course there is the slight problem that all the signature abilities of those warcraft III classes have already been used in the vanilla classes, invulnerability bubble, resurrection, blizzard, water elemental.... so what they are gonna give to the hero classes?

Time will tell, but surely you cannot pick a hero class to start with, you have to earn it.

Such a complete re-doing of an existing class would create a riot, either among the Paladins, or all the others, or both. Lore or not, people won't accept such a change. I think the ideas in the post above are more likely, but only time will tell.
