Africa?

Anyone heard about a new MMO taking place in Africa?

Found a clip from it on youtube.

It's different I'll give it that. Can't see it being a huge hit though to be honest, but that could just be me, I'm more of a fantasy person.

I remember reading something about this a while back... I also remember imedeatly forgetting and never wanting to read anything about it again.  Thanks.

You can forget it, that game is gone. It was being developed by MMOcenter/Rapid Reality, the same ones who brought us "The Chronicle" (failed scam) and "Phylon" (scam that made them a little money from suckers who bought it off Direct2Drive). Chronicle never happened and Phylon, well those players were a little shocked to login and find the servers and everyone else gone (as if none of us tried to warn 'em).

Africa isn't new, it's been postponed indefinitely.

I find it interesting that the ability to add comments about the video on youtube were disabled because most likely people would be flaming the company, Rapid Reality, if they could. Rapid Reality aka MMOCenter stole a lot of preorder money for a game called "the Chronicle" which never released.

For a moment there I thought this Africa game was the same Africa game coming out on the PS3. Turns out the PS3 one is spelled

    Afrika not Africa.

Well any ways I can't find the web site so I can't really say much about the game. As far as the trailer goes, not bad graphics.

Read the 2 posts above yours. That's why you can't find the website, maybe.

No wonder I can't find the site, as you said the games canceled. Your post wasn't there when I hit reply.

I wouldn't put too much hope in Africa ever releasing. It was being developed by Rapid Reality...The same boneheads that brought you Phylon, as well as supposedly developing the game called "The Chronicle". Unless they have internet access while burning in hell, then I don't think you'll be seeing anything else coming from them.

I dunno, Tracy might be shopping it around still.  My guess is he is, it was really his baby.

Who owned it, though? Tracy, or the company as a whole?
