umm i downloaded from the site.

Call this a newb situation if you wish but i downloaded the client and i get it in .rar format what am i supposed to do with it after i download it? but also when i go to re download it after i got rid of it because i tried to open it with notepad now i get it in notepad format after that. and i am tryignot figure how to set the icon back to it's default?

This is the download for Winrar: http://files6.rarlab.com/rar/wrar370.exe It's what you need for that file to extract it. It should set itself to open all zipped files by default when you install it. If not, when you get the .rar file again, right click > choose "open with" > and select winrar. That will put zipped files back to normal instead of notepad.
Also, to open the .rar file, right click > choose the third extract option down. This will extract the file to a folder right next to it, so you don't need to hunt it down.
by the way, why would you try to open an application with notepad in the first place?
ty for your help i was just trying to find how to get it to work and accidentally clicked notepad. I am not totaly sure why but thx for the help.
