EQ2 or SWG before the changes.EQ2 crafting while still not bad ,the end result  crafted not in much demand now. However spells still got a market.

Vanguard, ryzom and horizons have  nice crafting

EVE and SWG Pre Cu. Crafting has to be Complex and the market has to be 100% Player driven.

You say spells still have a market.  I played EQ2 very very very briefly, but are there scribes that make spells for other players?

SWG back in the day, then EQII before the nerf.

And really, I'm not an SOE fanboi

I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is over self.

Only for payed commissions. EQ2 devs have not been friendly to scribes. Especially with adept 1's drop rates being so rampant. I and few others once suggested that adepts 1 be a scribe only spell and adept IV be dropped by mobs but we were pretty much ignored. Of course though scribes can level up the fastest out of all trade skill professions.

Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.

I enjoyed old SWG crafting and market, too.  Also the races and different professions.  I play a bit of EQ2 now and then and very much like the crafting now better than when they had sub-components, unlike most of the people, it seems.    The crafting in Horizons was fun in the beginning, mostly because of the construction trade skills and what you could do with them.  (ie build structures, community projects that opened up new areas, etc)  Unfortunately the fact that many of the things you built were broken and never got fixed put a huge damper on the experience.  I always go back to ATitD when there is a new telling but cancel after a couple of months.  I enjoy combat just as much, if not more, than crafting.  Personally, I didn't much enjoy anything in Vanguard and didn't purchase it after beta.  Well, I did sort of giggle at all the giant phallic shaped rocks....

Edit:  What about Wurm Online?  I haven't played it but I've seen posts from people saying the crafting was very good.

some games i where i like the crafting skills

goonzu: fun game and many good points, only thing that made me quit was a bug that caused my ability points to almost halve

Dofus : fun game only thing is that free area isn't that big

ashen empires: good game if you like the graphics only 2 bad you got to pay if you want to leave beginner isle, where your skills have a maximum of lvl 10 (i'm not 100% sure) but besides that you got tons of skills

SWG is still the best for crafting IMHO

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

The crafting system in SWG has not really been changed since Launch.  The same process still exists.

I nejoy the crafting in SWG due to the customization options available to the items you make.  You can choose how you want to specialise the items depending on the markets demand.  You basically establish your own in-game business when you become a crafter and just like with RL businesses, there's a lot of backend work to take care of to be good at the front end.

SWG, to me, has had the best crafting in an MMO to date. It's key factor is that items actually decay and deteriorate. UO would be my first choice but the game is a bit dated.

"Epic" npc dropped items in MMOs such as EQ and WoW simply render crafting near useless. Consumable-crafting skills do well though in just about every game.

I like WoW's compared to most because of the simplicity.
