Playable new races?

valuvalu Member Posts: 30

I have been playing WoW for awhile and this year also started playing guild wars. i heard about the new expansion and saw some of the videos, but there was one question I needed to ask. Will there be new playable  races in this game? It gets really boring when you see the same human features, same body stances, etc. I was not really intrested in the hall or whatever i am mainly looking for races. mainly the char/shar  (whichever it is)It may be because i am playing WoW at the same time and like to see different creatures and stuff.

No, no new races, just new content.  Sucks though, all humans compared to most MMO's with a bunch of dif creatures.

Eye of the North will have whole new content and a new class/ race like seen in Factions and Nightfall.

Guild Wars 2 however will have more than just humans. We'll get to play as the beasts seen in the original Guild Wars and 3 others.

Um Leonatos....sorry man you have been reading false information somewhere.

GW:EN will NOT have any new classes/races....only skills/armor/content.

Maybe check out some of the past threads or even look at the official sites.

And to me if you need a different skin on a character to make a game more playable, you are playing for the wrong reasons.  The skills make the game, not the characters appearance.

Dont get me wrong guild wars is a good game but half of the new stuff in the game really didnt appeal to me it seems like the new races were added just to tease us. I have been playing since the beginning of   this year  and was really excited for the new expansion but it is going to just be another flop over expierience just like factions and night fall. this game has always been about new content but now the only thing that may be good are the multilevel dungeons. games are always f2p for a reason

I almost feel obligated to follow your posts around and clean up the little troll droppings you are leaving over the forum.

What new races were added just to tease you?

What is a "flop over experience?"

This game has always been about new content, how is GW:EN (the first ever expansion) not adding content?

In GW:EotN you can play as norn which are kind of humans that live in the northern shiverpeaks. You can also play as asura which are little magical creatures that got kicked out of there subterranian home. You can also play as the charr which are the enemys of all the humans so if you have the first GW's you should know what the charr are. You can also play as Sylvari and the information on them has not been released.

Err... i thought that you would be able to get norn, asura, sylvari and charr henchmen not play as one of them. I thought that it was announced that you could play as one of these in Guild Wars 2

It was, they are only heroes in GW:EN, but playable races in GW2, apart from Dwarf

I'm hoping to have more new info from the press conference this weekend that will be going up here and on my statopn forum and will be discussing this and the GW:EN preview weekend (which is next weekend) on thursday nights show (check the other thread for details
