It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
It's alot harder now to tell which ones are released and which ones are in development seeing as they're all in the same list. Just wondering if you could split them up again so you don't have to really use your brain to work it out.

It's not really too bad.
If you click on Forums page... they are split between Released Games and Games in Development.
If you look on the Home page... they are split between Highest Ranked MMORPGs and Most Anticipated MMORPGs.
If you look on the Game List page... they are listed all together, but they have different symbols that represent what their current status is. So, perhaps on this one page they could make it a little more obvious what the status of the game was... but, it's just that one page.
Hi,
On the right side of the gamelist there are a few links that allow you to filter the games by status (all, released, in development, in beta) already defined, as well you have the option to "create a custom list" which allows you to choose to show only what you want.
And to add, the square to the left of the game shows status as well.
I like the new interface myself, but perhaps a couple suggestions to the box left of the game names. Maybe more defineable icons instead of color differences? or a stronger contrast to the colors? perhaps in development be Red, Testing in green, and released blue.
Just a thought.
I'd have to agree with the OP on this.
And frankly, I'm unenthused by the changes in general. The new list is so hard to use, I hardly look at it any more.
It takes me 4 (!) clicks to see the list as I almost want it:
1-to see the games list
2-to select my custom list
3-to sort by rating ascending
4-to sort by rating descending
And, of course, each of these clicks takes about 5 secs to complete. (In the old system, it used to take only 2 clicks.)
By the way, I don't see the point in having two lists to filter on released/in-development games, which would mean another 3 clicks to view it.
So, if you really want to improve it:
1) Allow the user to set a custom list as their default
2) Allow the list to specify a "group by" (this restores the split between released and in-development games)
3) Allow the list to specify the sort by (I can't believe this wasn't a parameter in the update!)
4) Allow the user to select between the graphical rating and a numeric one. (BTW, Firefox is not very consistent at popping up the number when you hover over the graphic.)
And for further enhancements:
5) Have the numeric rating display 2 or 3 digits on the decimal side. Too many are bunched into the same number (8 at 8.3, 11 at 8.2)
6) A rating change column (like what you might in a stock listing), so you can see who's rising, and who's falling.
Default should show the current release top list of mmorpg, not the upcoming.
