I have played alot of MMO's and can honestly say that there are parts to all of them that I like and dislike. So what parts were really good from other games that were/are worth saving?

A Tale in the Desert - Crafting System
Granado Espada - MCC System, Character Designs
Lord of the Rings Online - Quests
Lineage 2 - Siege Battles
(Aion) - Character Progression System
NavyFIELD - Naval Combat Mini-game
Albatross 18 - Golf Mini-game
D&D Online - Twitch Controls
It would look like World of warcraft of course.
but seriously.
I would say Dark Age of Camelot's end game system. Combined with World of Warcraft leveling. Combined with Everquest 2 crafting. Throw in a bit of ASheron's Call 1's live team and monthly update team and I would have my perfect game. Oh character and race selection similar to Dark Age of Camelot. But using World of Warcrafts UI system and having character animations similar to WoW.
Currently playing:
LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)
Looking Foward too:
Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)
DAoC: Frontiers and RvR system.
DAOC - RVR system;
WoW - Quests;
VG - Crafting system,air battles (under effect of levitate),classes;
L2 - Death penalty.
I actually loved all of DAoC's endgame better then any other game I have played. The raids were fun to go on just for going on. There wasn't any of this crappy gear centric raiding that WoW has currently. there was no need for DKP or any of htat crap. Instead you would go just for the enjoyment of going and if you didn't get an item you wanted (which more often then not was for visual looks and not because it was vastly better) you could just find one to buy off someone's Consignment Merchant. Even the Artifacts were neat to do. About the only part I didn't like was the Master level raids. They were so boring to do that people didn't want to do them over once they had done them the first time. That is why it was so hard to go back and finish Master Levels later on in the life of the game.

This was already done by Blizzard.

Thank god for the classic cluster, eh?
the best-est-est part
is Cabe's icon !
Something along the lines of:
*Eq1(pre-PoP) and Pre-ToA DaoC...mixed together....i would enjoy alot.
EQ- size of world and quests,raids
Daoc-RvR(not pvp)
*EvE+CoH(when your land based)..avatar fighting;)
Eve (too much to list)
CoH(really any mmorpg would fit here in the sci-fi genre...i just picked CoH for the added Avatar fighting that could be in EvE...but any Sci-Fi would work.
*WaR+PoTbS would be interesting.
War- no explanation needed
PoTbS-"See above"
other than that, as other posters have stated in a multitude of threads, I am also kind of burnt out on the whole fantasy genre in regards to online mmorpg's.
Sci-Fi and Pirates(historical based stuff).....I would LOVE to see.
