in Planetside

thinking of coming back to PS when i have my new PC within a month or so.

how is planetside now, i used to love it, i had (maybe still do) a BR20 CR4 char on NC emerald named "TheOwner", also had another named 2point0.  loved sniping, spooking, mos pilot, some AI max too.

questions are, how does it run on vista? what is the server populations? what is the most dominant server now?  how has development gone?  what is in store for PS?

    PlanetSide is doing fine, and is well worth coming back if you liked it before.

    • I don't use Vista, nor have I heard anything about it interacting with PS.
    • Server populations are high enough where you can find plenty of action 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There's talk of a final server merger, but lately on Emerald I've been seeing the total population rising. Poplocks are becoming more common than they have been in the last few months.
    • Emerald is the most "dominant" server right now. In general, the outfits are more organized than on Markov, and there is less reliance on a zerg to get things accomplished.
    • As far as development, they just recently added 2 new air vehicles, the Phantasm (a stealth troop transport) and a Galaxy Gunship (a more heavily armed version of the Galaxy troop transport).
    • There are talks of bringing back the Reserves in the future, as well as a server merger.

    thanks for the reply, ill be back when i get my new PC in a few weeks.

    ive decided to stay with xp pro.  ill be on emerald either with my old character or ill start a new one.
