Are you thinking of trying it? Quick review

These are just my opinions, but here is what I think of this game:

1.  No character customization.  Each class has 1 character model period.  So if that model is female and you don't want that, you need to pick a different class.

2.  Quest givers don't notice your level.  You see this nice guy with a shining thing above his head, so he's got a quest for you.  The problem is that the quest is for you when you gain another 55 levels....  Kind of stupid.

3.  Movement/map are kind of weak.   You might be clicking to go left on your screen, but your arrow is running up on the little mini-map.  Its just something you have to get used to, but why they don't rotate the map or something I don't know.

4.  Too easy/Grindfest.  To be fair, I am only level 25, and a mage, so this might not be the case for all classes.  I never really got hurt fighting anything, just had to grind, grind, grind to level.  The fights were boring and combat wasn't anything new if you have played any of the other imports.

5. Nothing special.  I haven't found anything to set this apart from any other import out there.

I downloaded it last night and took it off after trying it twice. Probably not giving the game a chance but it felt sort of "junky" to me.

And yes I didn't like the one character model for each class design.

The other issue I had was trying to sign in. I might be the only person who had this problem but I kept actually fumbling, trying to find the correct way to actually sign into a server.

  • I have said this many times, and I'll say it again. It depends on your taste for games alot. I have heard many many people like the game, but I have also heard many many people bash it to the moon. I happen to like the game, but I can see why some people would not. My opinion....try it out till level 20 ALTEAST, and then if you still HATE it....than quite. Though I hear the best of the game starts at level 34, and gets ALOT better at 60.

Weird, I heard the game sucks at level 1 and continues to suck all the way through.

  • Well you probably heard from people that only got to about level 10. The game is alright at those levels, but it gets a lot better later on. Most people just do not have the patience to level up...they just say it's a stupid grindfest and move on. The game actually gets quite fun later on...you just have to have some patience.

Well i have been myself to lvl 50 so far and it's....... a boring grindfest , even worst than sro (at least you have job and guild wars in sro). And guess what ? I found the same beggers , the same gold farmers (mostly named jhkgjikj), the same spammers and the same gold sellers than in sro . I also found a bunch of well known botters in sro trying 2moons to see if they could bot there too ...

I think that bots and hacks from Dekaron will be (are ?) effective soon ... 2moons, welcome to the next botfest

  • They have already started to take some action against botters, and maybe you just don't like this kind of game. If so...than thats your opinion, and if so...than why do you keep coming back on these forums? To just bash the game some more?

OP's points are all pretty accurate.

I've also heard that the game gets better at 35+/60+, but the problem is getting there.  There are scarcely anything to do while leveling up..except smashing the first three buttons on my keyboard and wait for the mob to die.

There is no point in placing fun contents at the higher level if you're gonna lose much of your playerbase before they even reach that level.

It's a good game, I got to level 20, but from 16-20, I had maybe like...4-5 quests? which give me like 1/100 of the exp I gained.  I seriously don't see how you can like smashing 3 buttons for 4 levels, which will probably become worse later on, watching mobs fall.  If you're looking forward to the contents then that might be feasible, but if you say you HONESTLY like the grinding...

Each to his own i suppose.

  • Yes, I know the grinding can get to be kind of annoying after awhile of doing it, but I do not just grind. I do quests...and not just for xp...I do them because its a break and its sorta fun. I also like to fish alot...I think thats a good part of the game, I also like to group up and kill bosses. Than, I might take a break and do something else...like in real life, but I usually am listening to music using the mp3 function while I'm grinding, so it's really not that bad.

Yea so far, I haven't seen much difference from any other mmorpg, grinding and questing...mostly grinding...but the early levels are boring in every other game I've played, I'm just hoping what others are saying, it gets better at higher levels.

  • Once I got to about level 18, i started to have some more fun, but I hear it's ALOT better at levels 34 and 60. This is because at those levels you get to go into bigger and better dungeons. At 34 you go into your first atctual big instanced dungeon, so grouping is something quite often. Level 60 I hear is your first monster dungeon, and at that point you should be in a guild probably , so it's much better.

Well hopefully I can hang in it to at least lvl 34. Good part is if i I get sick of the grind, I can break for a couple weeks without having to worry about canceling the account.

  • Yeah, that's true...usually when i'm sick of grind I like to fish alot...I really like fishing in game for some reason.
