So, AoC has been delayed until March '08, supposedly based on the feedback from its beta testers. At least Eidos delayed it, and didn't release an unfinished game. I guess someone learned the lesson taught to devs/publishers by Vanguard.
Is there a reason you posted an age of conan delay in the warhammer forum with a link to a warhammer fansite?

1. The reason I posted the info is because AoC players constantly bombard WAR players with how perfect their game is. Just goes to show that the game isn't perfect after all, as the reason for the delay was from the info provided by its beta testers.
2. IF WAR has the same problems (one can never tell) I'd like Mythic to handle things the same way Eidos did. Delay it. Don't release a half-finished, unoptimized game (as was done with Vanguard).
3. The link to the WAR fansite is my forum signature. I think that is pretty obvious to everyone . . but you.
Yea strange forum to post this in. But hey, I am happy that Funcom's lead dev gave us an actual reason behind the delay, and not some half-trumped up bullcrap. You can read his letter to the community, it's very informative, here; http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?p=890912
If anything, the delay means a more polished, user friendly, interactive, and deep combat system then the game was already boasting.
Just because it's been delayed doesn't mean it will be any better. Plus it don't take a genius to know that AOC is gonna be .

Yeah, cause you can't find mainly WAR fans by the dozen talking doom on the AoC boards ... only the AoC fanbois bombard WAR, other way around it is just not true! eh?

Sorry, but this thread is just flamebait... There's a never good reason for it. ;/
Normally is good to delay for but in this case is actually bad b/c more ppl are going to play WAR insteaf of AoC now.

No offence but I fail to see your reasoning there or lack of I should say.
On one hand you have a PvP centric game (80% PvP 20%PvE), on the other you have your typical familiar mmorpg where you can find equal amounts of familiar things to do, albeit in a new way.
The delay will probably put AoC in terms of length of Beta time spent, more than war, with the release close to warhammers. As an AoC fan im not scared in the slightest, I don't think you guys should be either - two different games, on the whole appealing to two different types of player.

People who play MMO's tend to hop from one to the other, so I doubt that release date will have much to do with either being more popular than the other after 6 months after each ones release.
However, I find that this is indeed good news, it means that the MMO audience is going to recieve a more finished product, and if you have read half my posts, you know I'm pro-WAR all the way. I just don't think its the right game for everyone. If AoC is more appealing to you, then more power to you. Whatever you think is fun, shoot for it.
I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad, The dreams in which I'm dieing are the best I've ever had.
Plus the Funcom devs are taking cheap shots at WAR cause it was delayed also.
Curious! I haven't seen these cheap shots? Any links perhaps?
I am still waiting for those links...
I got nothing to prove!. Check your age of conan forums for delayed release topic, i think around page 4 there is the dev response post. There is a cheap shot at the delay of WAR by a funcom dev.
Here it is:
I shall be vindicated in this decision! Hey, we could have given you some bull**** reason about needing more time to polish a startup area or whatnot. This is the truth. It stings.
Yish I can't believe I even read this entire thread. This just needs to be locked up, thrown in a sack filled with wet cats, and tossed into a river of liquid ammonia.
