How come European guilds dominate endgame PvE?

Yea, ever since Ahn Qiraj was realesed, the european guild nihilum have been the first to down every single 40/25 man instance endboss in the game, and if you look at the worldwide guild ranking at http://www.bosskillers.com/cgi-bin/bbguild/index.cgi?action=guild_submitadvancedsearch&page=1&srank1=&wrank1=&guild_name=&go=Search&guild_type=both&wrank2=&srank2=&order=1&col_name=5
you will notice that 8 out of the top 10 PvE guilds are playing on EU realms.
how come? what happened to the once mighty American guilds?

In general Europeans have more free time to play WOW than people in the US...our workweeks are longer and we don't stay in University nearly as long....

That's a good question. I'd guess it's just a bit of luck that us europeans got organised faster and got a jumpstart. For example in AQ40, the only reason we killed it first before D&T was simply due to luck, ie we had an extra day to work on it, while their server got reset. It takes serous commitment to be in the top 10 guilds in he world and those players are expected to devote 5-10 hours a day until content is beaten.
I don't think it has anything to do with more skill on euro side, just better organisation combined with a bit of luck at the right time
The U.S. has a minimum 40 hour week, I work more like 54 hours like most. You won't see the French working 54 hours a week!

I suspect it has a lot to do with the average downtime that Europeans have, Americans have much longer work weeks in addition to fewer vacations and much longer periods of time spent in school (not saying that the school thing makes it any better, I'd LOVE to have a more European style of university here in the States)

I used to play WoW in the europeon servers when I did play, on the server which Nihilium is on I had an alt, TRUST me if you were there youd know why they're on the top. There wasnt a single time when my /who Nihilium was below 10, they were ALWAYS on and ALWAYS doing some instance
American's arent that hardcore.
