To those who can play this game on High settings.

Hey everyone, I'm just wondering what kind of computer setup you have in order to play this game on high settings and with little to no lag.

2+ gig RAM and a 512mb video card, I use a 7950 and it works just fine. At this point in time getting a computer with just these specs will not break the bank.

Personally I have what I consider to be a pretty high end rig (just built piece by piece this past spring):

    • Intel Dual-core Pentium
    • Corsair 4 GB RAM
    • eVGA nVidia 680i Motherboard
    • eVGA nVidia 8800 GTS video card (the pre-overclocked version)
    • 2x Seagate 300 GB drives (7200 RPM with a pretty big cache), in a mirrored RAID configuraiton
    • Thermaltake 750w Power Supply
    • Lian Li PC-A10B case

I play every game that I own on the maximum settings (with my monitor that's 1280x1024), with the exception of my brief run-in with Vanguard where I had trouble even at "Balanced"...

I play with every setting maxed out.

    EVGA 7950GX2 1Gig

    2 Gig RAM

    6700 2.4DC processor

    Barracuda AC-1 Sound Card

    Samsung 204B Monitor  1600X1400

    Asus MoBo

I was one of the lucky ones that could max out Vanguard as well, somehow.

I should have pointed out in my earlier post that I suspect my Vanguard issues are related specifically to the 8800 GTS, as others have also had problems with the 8800's and Vanguard.

I was playing it with most everything pretty well maxxed using a OC'ed 6600, 2 gig and a256 meg 7900GT and got 40+ FPS everywhere. I upgraded to a 8800GTS and now everything is maxxed.

    I miss DAoC
