Does anyone knows if Bethesda Studios plans to launch a MMORPG? Or will they continue to release only single player RPGs? I like their games much . And the Elder Scrolls story and the games' system (with those many different classes to chose from) would be great in a MMORPG.

I doubt it. They've had the opportunity to do it with Oblivion and passed. I think they understand that single-player rpgs are their niche. Fallout 3 is to the best of my knowledge a single player. I had heard rumors there would be a Fallout mmorpg but I haven't seen anything concrete. I personally hope they never make such a game, there are enough mmorpgs flooding the market.
Thanks for the answer!
I think you're right. Only now I thought about it. There are too much MMORPG avaiable nowadays. If they start lauching them after each "blockbuster" single player game would be only one person playing each game . Just taking a look at the site list of games I can imagine that anyone would find one that "fits their needs".
Ok, I've not played many of them, but I've never seen one that has a wide range of possibilities to create a character. That was what I most liked at Elder Scrolls. Also in thoose games players, most of the times, have to follow a strict order of quests that appplies to every kind of character, regardless of their class, race, etc...
That is the reason it is single-player.
MMO games will not succeed in the act of true "multiple paths."
Look at it for what it's worth.
The game is beautiful as it is.
You couldn't really have the Elder Scrolls experience in mmorpg form. In a typical game, you can become the leader of guilds, the one hero everyone is talking about, a great destroyer or champion. No matter what you do in an mmorpg, you're still just some guy. Sure, you're level whatever, but there's 2,000 others like you on a server.
