What would u like in a game?

I think its sad that for every mmo , some people say something bad about it. Iwish i could make my, own if i could. But i just wanted to know what you think a good mmo is?

Power doesn't come from the weapon, but from the warrior wielding it.

OK, it seems I'm in the mood for posting (procrastination for the win, I have work to do!), so I'll comply.

Here's what I want to see in a game:

More dynamic content that is not player-created.

NPCs with rich scripts, always being updated, always ready to surprise you. A game that does not only depend on the player base for dynamic content but goes to great lengths to provide it via a living, breathing NPC world.

Don't put your players on rails; just give them the tools for doing a great variety of things in-game, for being creative, but supplement it with a lot of professional dynamic content.

Yes. I want a game deep and rich with sandbox elements but a lot of non-player-created content as well. I do not know why some people seem to think the two are mutually exclusive.

I agree with this, just adding...

I want a socially viable game, where players can build cities together and be involved in all the kinds of things that cities would have, such as player to player politics, trades, construction and art, defense, etc.

I want a game where the players aren't separated so much by the level grind, so that players can make a city their home and work together mutually.

I want a game with a huge world to explore, full of mysteries and discoveries.

I want major bad guys played by GMs who work behind the scenes to organize their bad guy network with both NPCs (troll tribes, thief networks, ect) and other players.

I want player created trade routes of caravans and shipping.

I want a world that allows the freedom to choose to be good or bad. But I also want the good guys to be able to stop the bad guys and actually win.

    Once upon a time....

1.Not overdone graphics. Preferably somewhat like Zelda: The Wind Waker or like WoW.
    2. Skill based PvP, and lots of PvP. No outdoor PvP.
    3. A good PvE system. Not necessary a long farmfest to get to the highest level and then do nothing, but more an enjoyable play. Quests that aren't Kill x and get 5 of y and then return. Different quests that actually feel engaging.
    4. Lifelike NPCs. They shouldn't be repeating the same stuff over and over but should feel like they were alive.
    5. Some parts should be sandbox, but most of the game should be pretty "locked".
    6. No level or farming required at all. You should be able to enjoy all parts of the game from the very first moment you start playing.
    7. Good crafting system.
    8. Some kind of system that makes players able to communicate and create a good and working community where you can always feel welcome.
    9. Where NPCs previously have been doing the work I think that players should start taking over. Example: Merchants should be in the game from the start but should slowly be replaced with players. Totally player controlled economy.

That were some things I wanted. I suppose I could come up with some more, but that's all I can come up with for now.

    1. Good graphics, not so good that the average gamer has to drop extra money just so he can play the game

    2. A skill tree system, not a level system. Something some what like SWG before the big revamp, but maybe a little less cross classing

    3. Player built cities and the like

    4. LOTS OF PVP. Guild wars, open pvp, and some colluseum pvp and more

Tried: EvE, DnD Online, LotRO, WAR, AoC,
Played: UO, SWG(pre-cu), GuildWars, FFXI, WoW
    Liked: UO, SWG, GuildWars
    Disliked: WoW, FFXI
