Been playing the trial all day...

Thanx for the buddy key btw...

However i liked the character creation and seemed to have classes that fit well with the lore and nice character graphics that. Just when i get into the game it feels far too linear and just not that "epic" Lord of the Rings game i wanted. I'll keep playing over the next 10 days but i did expect better and all the noob areas sooo far i havn't seen one person playing yet. I'm doing quests and that and getting money and gear but i have yet to work out what the meaning is of the game and what goal i'm going for. It feels like i'm just going to level up doing quests in a linear WOW fashion to get to the end and have nothing else to do but go through instances and PVP.

I really wanted to live in Middle Earth and have my own home and make it look nice and run my own stores and that like in SWG when i used to play it. Wanted a adventure i could call my own but atm it feels like i'm playing the hero in a world of many heroes with no character to call my own...

I'll keep playing it and i'm sure i'll have fun with it but i did expect more from the license.

You only been playing one day, give it some time most of the quest are solo quest at the start , altough you must have meet somone right, when i make a char on EU server its mostrly prety crowded, anyhow fun starts around level 20 when you get you epic quest line isntance and great barrow quests. get inside a good kingship helps to. but i must amid it starts of prety linear.

It will broaden out some, but it will never be the Middle Earth sandbox you seem to be looking for....its pretty much a more linear game than WOW (i know, hard to believe that is possible, but it is) and doing quests and grinding out deeds and running pve instances are pretty much the games future....

Also, they are adding housing in the next update (Book 11) which is scheduled for October/November and from what they are saying the houses will have Middle-Earth racial flavors. So you may not have one now but if you decide to stick with it you will see them in the near future.
