From what i've read of both WoW and EQ 2. The games will be fairly similiar, sure there will be detailed differences but overall gameplay sounds to be the same(leveling, questing, etc etc.)
What I think they will come down to is which company provides better customer service. Somethings I've read about WOW are that they aren't trying to be the most innovative and instead are working on just doing what is out there better than everyone else. Therefore the graphics won't be cutting edge, nor will many other things.
i for one tend to trust blizzard to have more interest in creating a fun game than I do SOE. But that's my opinion and others i'm sure believe differently.
I do however think WOW is very over-hyped and am afraid the game will suffer for it.
