Free, Downloadable MMO Games - Which One ??

Hey guys, 1st post on the website!

Been playing MMO games since UO. All I really play now but after being unimpressed with LOTRO (canx my account few weeks ago), I was kinda just waiting on Warhammer.

Anyway, meesing around on the internet and started playing a couple of web based online games. Then, I came across a game called Conquer Online. Now I've since found out this game has been out for years but all very new to me, didn't know it existed and for a game that was free to download and no monthly fee, I was impressed. Then I came across Last Chaos, which again is really cool but, from reading more about them, I seem to of missed the best of it and most people seem to be packing it in and don't want to start getting into a game that's on it's way out.

What I'm getting at is, I'm looking for a game like the above, that's new and still growing so I can get into it still at a good time. I had read about one called Perfect World? can't get onto the webite here (at work) to check it out. Been playing Last Chaos for a couple of nights now and it's good fun but does anyone know of some newish, free downloadable MMORPG that are on the scene I should really check out? Just seems to be loads out there that I never knew about. Don't know what's old, what's new, what rubbish and what's still worth checking out.

Hello and welcome to the forums, i hope you enjoy your stay here =].

There are ALOT of F2P games out now and coming out, but as you ahve probably guessed not all of them are that great, here would be my recommendations in no particular order.

1. 2Moons - Latest F2P game to come out for us, its nice still alot to be added though.

2. Archlord - It started off P2P but changed to F2P recently and its doing it alot of good, its well worth playing and its probably one of the better F2P games out.

3. Rappelz - Been out for a while now, not sure how long but it should say on the gamelist. Its a solid F2P game with a large community and its pretty addictive to.

4. Perfect World - This will probably take the number 1 F2P MMO spot when the global version is released.

Well i just listed the ones that just came trough my mind in this moment.....the best one in there is Archlord and Flyff (if you like anime stuff).....but tastes are different so.....dunno

Granado Espada good graphics, but a lot of griding.

I know I know, I am just being lazy I guess. I did look at it, I've looked at a few lists but since they're all new titles I've never heared of. I was looking for someone to give me shortlist (which they have...ty) of what's new and what's upcoming, what's still really worth playing etc

I'm happy to play any MMO game to be honest (by far my fav sort of games), Last Chaos seems to do me fine.. but I'm very new to the "F2P" scene and just needed to lowdown on what's hot and what's not! =o)

If you're an old player of UO then I can say for sure there are not many MMO's out there that are going to grasp your attention as much as it did. Whether it's the fact you've already experienced it and you don't have the "n00b" outlook of not knowing what to expect which is exciting and keeps you going or the fact that most MMORPG's these days are utter crap and the same old thing with a few different features to it that won't keep you amused more then a couple of weeks. Everyone is different though, I'm just talking about personal experience. I'm ranting now but only because I've been looking for something since UO for years and still yet to find it, so I'm playing 1 PLAYER games like Gothic 3 and Elder Scrolls, etc, which are far more amusing.

I started playing Archlord and it is a very cool mmo. I recommend you might wanna check it out.

I personally enjoy several, and why not.. they are free

Archlord - as others have already mentioned

Sword of the new World; GE  - just went f2p today, also made some negative changes like reducing the channels and having severe problems controlling the overgrowing amount of bots

AO - great if you like scifi, not my thing but great game

Rappelz - Loved it during OB but its getting extremely populated, very laggy and alot of High lvls Pking lowbies [griefers].. like L2

Knight Online - Kinda on its way down the gutter

Silkroad - Can't get on during peak hours unless your a paying member, so meh imo

 

I'de recommend trying Archlord or GE, both newer f2p games and both originally meant to be p2p... or AO if you like scifi
