I really want to play a new mmorpg again. but i dont know what i want to play everygame ive tried lately doesnt appeal to me.
heres what im looking for
a skill based game where i dont have to level. I dont like to grind out levels because i get bored fast
open pvp on the server. I dont pvp but it makes exploring more interesting if theres a danger of pks
lots of places to explore.and since i like to explore i like to have nice views i can note. landscape graphics are important
Id like to see some variety in creatures as well not the same thing with 15 different names
the last one is hard to explain. id like to see some low level huntable creatures in odd places. every game i try loses its reality when i travel somewhere and there are no more deer or bears. and even if there are creatures like that they have weird names like mighty deer or grand bear. this isnt as important as the rest but i miss the ultima days when i could go to diferent places on land and hunt for bearskins. just cause i like to play a hunter. Im not necesarily roleplaying but i like to play my character
anyway i was wondering if theres anything out there like what i just said or at least close to what ive said

You will not find a game out today that plays the way you mentioned. All current mmo's are designed to Force Group or Force Guild. In order to achieve anything, you have to be in your servers strongest guild, or in a powerful group. Today's mmo's are not designed to let " you " play your character, but to make you play they way " they " want you to play it.
You can not achieve anything alone, you are Forced to play with others.....

What do you mean "Dont" have to level? Everyone MMO has either skills or levels, thats what RPGs are like.
If you mean a short grind with open PvP, I'd recommend Daoc, UO, or EVE.
Every other game has a long grind or has crappy pvp.

i dont mean that i actually pvp. cause i suck.

I loved UO .. well before the age of shadows expansion . But now im kinda wishing i never got rid of my account. what sucked that there werent many people in fel so i had to go to trammel to trade.
eve i like also . I started mining and got bored inthe safe sections so i traveld to do my mining and got killed a few times. but i had fun. I just didnt like the fact that there wasnt much to explore. what i mean that most systems looked the same. and that i couldnt get out of my ship. thats why i left. But the skill system is great in that game.
Ive never played DAOC. maybe ill give that a try .
and rimcy i know what you mean ive played countless games and closed the accounts fairly quickly because of that same reason.
I have hopes fo AOC. well except for the leveling. I always prefer skill based games. but who knows
