oh yes, im sorry, them too image

yep, also the unknown ones, such as

    - The Orne river
    - Pointe du Hoc
    - The cotentin Peninsula

they are unknown, coz they are the dropzones for the paratroopers...

btw ive heard that yesterday they dropped about 600 paratroopers and today the will invade peacfully the beaches again. A great memorial

Yeh, big thanks to all the veterans - because if they had not made d-day a success there is a good chance we might not be haveing this discussion now.

By the way lawie: pointe du hoc was not a airbourne landing site, it's where the american rangers can ashore.

cant forget the airborne division, who were dropped behind enemy lines with no tank support until after the beaches were taken. my great grandpa was in the airborne, he survived that but is dead now. (R.I.P)

I would personally like to thank all the veterans of World War II alive or dead who gave their youth or their lives for the cause of freedom...

That is why we celebrate this day.

    Thank you

    Geez. Such a lovely holiday.

Think they should just keep with veterans day. D-day isnt exactly something you'd think anyone would celebrate.

what I dont understand is why its called D-Day, there are a lot of D-Day's, youd think if this one was inportaint they'd atleast give it a special name.

after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
