Pinging to find fastest server?

In EQ2, I can do a "ping servername.everquest2.com" to see what the times are. Is there a way to do this in WoW?
I did find the WoW Census site that showed what time zone a server was in and that has been somewhat successful; but, I really want to find the fastest PvE server for my location.

Thats my experience playing on 3 different servers the last 2 years or so.
But TBH worrying about your ping in WoW is something you don't need to worry about.
Yep, Blizz believe in equality, ping is the same on all servers. It's carp!
Avg is 100ms for me during peak times and 50ms off peak. Regardless of server. Unless i join a USA server, then its 50ms ping peak and 20ms ping off peak and i live in the UK!!!

I don't know how the EU servers are configured, but the US servers all hit the same login server. You can ping that (sorta), but since all logins seem to go through the same server - it kinda washes out (like the others have said, here) the ping results...

I have problems with some of the servers, and some I don't have problems.
There is a known issue with some servers. Go to the technical support forums and find the sticky. Ping the ip addresses listed and find the fastest one for you, should work.

just go on a low pop server like ursin u wont lag :P
