I think i know very very well this game thank you. It's a real problem/ Every MMO player talks about that in EU and US. you can read same threads in Europe, US etc, on Turbine/Midway forums and also in Codemaster forums.
Sorry but on the codemaster forums there is not one thread about people having trobbles finding a players to group whit.even when i try to search for it does not show, i have no idea about the US forums since i dont go there.
Playing:World of Warcraft. Played:Lord of the Rings Online, Starwars Galaxies. Tried:Starwars the Old Republic, Everquest 2, Guild Wars, Vanguard, Age of Conan, Aion.
You can try EQ2 or DAOC, or of course World of warcraft if you like it (i don't like it)
You won't have the same problems.
Other games like World of warcraft, i would not presume its easy to get a group at lower levels then 70. At level 70 however i would think its not hard to get a group to anywere in world of warcraft, same goes for EQ2, but since you never reached the max level in Lotro its not in the question, i do think these games are harder to group at lower levels then Lotro since there older and mostly all players have reached the max level, Lotro on the other hand is a new game. It can be a pain to find a group in World of warcraft, EQ2 or DAOC since all those games players are at the max level and hardly enough new players join, and these games are getting prety old.

I disagree. LOTRO was the most PITA MMO i've played to get a group in. No troubles in WoW, EQ2, CoX, even TR beta. Hardly enough new members? lol! Yep, all 9 million WoW players are 70.
The problem lies with the bad design of the quests being chained. Maybe its different in the EU, but in NA, I've seen plety of grumbling about the chained quests system. Getting people to join your group is easy, setting a quest everyone happens to be on is another matter.
I say again, they should just let the leader choose the quest from a list of all group members quest list, and it is set for the group, like CoX does.

Easy to group in wow? well not from my experiance...even at level 70 i had problems finaly getting a group to somewere yea , maby if your in a raiding guild its probbly very easy , but for lower level 70 instance its a very pain.
I realy dont know but today aigan for every group quest just sending out 1 line and bang ,,,had a full fellowsip whit 6 in less then a min, And im realy serrius maby im just very lucky or maby im just leveling at the speed a lot of players level ...i dunno what it is but im never having a hard time grouping in Lotro, and thats why its hard for me to understand others do, also dont you think its prety strange that some here say thats its almost inpossble to finda fellowsip wile other say its no problem at all, maby those who say its easy level at a casual speed and those who say its hard leveled at a faster speed then the casuals thus not beinig able to get grouped

There's a big difference between WoW and LotRO though. In WoW, the group quests aren't necessary to level to 70, in LotRO, it's the only way to level up.
Finding a fellowship comes down to a handful of factors:
1) Luck - this is by far the most important one unfortunately. I've logged in at times and have broadcast for 30 minutes looking for a fellowship for a specific set of quests, with no luck (keep in mind I'm also doing solo quests, hunting for crafting resources, etc. while I look for a fellowship... don't just sit around doing nothing...)... then at other times (like last night) I'll login and broadcast looking for the exact same quests, and get picked up in a matter of minutes.
2) Class - of course certain classes are "over-populated" and not deemed quite as critical for fellowships (hunters, champions, etc.). If you want to be almost assured of finding a fellowship, every MMO I've played it comes down to 2 archetypes - tank and healer. Everybody else is optional.
3) Time of day - I noticed that the OP posted something back on page 1 about "logging in this morning and not finding anybody in 30 minutes of searching". I'm not surprised. Most folks play at night, after work/school/whatever. Even on the weekends, people are sleeping in, spending time doing other family activities, etc.
4) Reputation - if you're a good player, who plays nice, helps other people with their quests even though you might not need those particular quests, you'll probably build a good reputation as a swell person. Then in turn when you're looking for help, you'll have a nice long friends list and even in the open chat channels people may already know you by your reputation. On the other hand if you're rude, you spam, are self-centered, etc. then you probably won't have much luck.
In my case, I've got #2-4 nailed... I play a desired class at a popular time, and personally I think I have a pretty decent reputation with other players on my server. So for me it all comes down to luck.
