Probably not due to the new Graphics update and expansion coming out. Not to mention that the people who still play dont mind paying for it because it is so much better then the others. Graphics always turn new players away and that has cost EA dearly so I'm thinking they will be getting some influx of players with KR hence will not turn to F2P. I look at it this way if your not sure what to do just go buy it and play for 3 months. Remember to get to know people cause the game really opens up more then and faster.
Also you gotta think If you go spend what is it 30 bucks now i think(may be wrong) then 12 a month for three months. Thats only 66 dollars you spent on 4 months of entertainment (you get 30 days free with box purchase I think)how can you go wrong with any MMO really IMO. (as long as YOU enjoy that MMO) As for content and the rest you will not even come close to seeing or doing everything in game in that amount of time. But you get to a lot of it in that time.
As for not paying to play well thats really your choice and none can tell you what to do but if its a money restraint I know I would prolly collect cans or something if i had to to play because really 12 bucks isen't that much for a whole month worth of gamming. Put it this way I used to spend like 70-80 buck a month on games till I found UO. Cause I would play it beat it and then move on to the next. Once you get into a game this deep the need to buy newer games is eliminated and and you end up saving money on the habit instead of constantly looking for new games and spending.

Yeah I don't think it's worth $12 a month. it still plays like Diablo 2.
