Beatbox is behind the curve on the damage model. I suspect he has not played in several years. I will find a youtube video and post it showing some thet damage model fo rthe ac, that models, prop, pitch, engine, oil, water, fuel, interanl ammo, external ammo, pilot arms legs torso and head, all of which can be damaged and or explode. Overheating thru alack of oil water of over revving too long will cause destruction of the engine etc.
Vague as usuall. Half dozen breakpoints..what are those exactly and when was the last time you actually played? Do you mean, the elevator, rudder, the stabalizer, the fuselage, the wings, the alierons, the prop, the pitch, the guns, the ammo, oil, the fuel, the water if applicable, the pilot body, cockpit canopy, flaps, slats. Exactly what are those unadded breeakpoints. I enjoy watching a wing root catch fire and after a few moments see the interanal ammo or bombs explode taking the entire wing
One really old vid which because of the music is worth seeing. Remember it is probably 4 years or older and was made about the same time Beatbox stopped playing:-)
My guess of your not playing for the last 4 years is correct? The other vid are only a year old. From the post on the forums at ww2ol which you cannot read seem to suggest that the fights are even better. When did you last play?

These 3 are more than a year old and there has been serveral updates since with improvlements on the fire and smoke of damage. Looking for a recent.
If the flight model is so great, how come people are pulling 9 G's in bombers without their wings ripping off? That one little minor detail is more important then visual effects, or damageable rudders.
Stress is being asked for. Sorry you find that a gamebreaker. Tho 200 mph would requrie a very tight turn to pull 9 gs. I suspect more in the range of 4-5. If you have some data on the amount of g it took to remove the wings of the buffs send it to Doc. There may not be any tho since in real war no pilot would do such a move.
Fighter wings probably broke off around 6 g. Bombers (except stuka) wings probably broke off at 3 g. Fighters with bombs, with that extra weight, probably had less. Stuka probably took 9 G without bombs, 6 G with bombs.

I have no idea what we are talking about, but I too disagree with Beatbox.
I just logged back in to WW2OL after 3 years and WOW... what a great job they've done. I think I may be playing a while.
Does it still have a craptastic flight model?

it will trickle along. like Final Fantasy. it wont die out. its one of those unique games that dont appeal to the masses (one reason why its decent).
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
