New Reputation System: Thoughts/Comments?

I love the reputation system. I find it a good way to make money in game cause i am grinding mobs that drop alot of trash loot along with rare recipes. It isn't for everyone. If you want to instantly get the reward and not have to go thru lots of mobs to gain rep it isn't for you.

I have only done a little with the reputation system and don't know alot about it, but I can tell you a few things. Number one: It is not a must. You are not required to do it to enter any instances or areas like in other games I've played.

Number two: It's for fun if you're interested. It's nice to get the crafting recipes and you can use your craft skill with certain factions to gain rep if you don't want to grind mobs for the tokens. I have a 43 Loremaster and, since faction starts at level 35, I've just been gaining the rep tokens while I go about my business completing quests and deeds. I don't think it's quite as much fun for level 50s, because they don't have much reason to grind the mobs outside of gaining the faction tokens. 

I have read that they may be putting in rep at lower levels, so everyone can start in the system from the beginning of their characters, but they haven't figured out a way to grandfather it for the characters that are already high-level. Anyway, it may not be a reason to return to LotR, but it is a nice addition to the game.

They added a few skills for the Captain. There are Banners now which you can use instead of the Herald. These are great when your Herald dies, as you can use a Banner in combat. The Banner item also provides a good buff while equipped.

The Captain also has Shield-Brother skill now. One fellowship member, or your Herald, can be selected as your Shield-Brother. You have a few different skills which buff and heal your Shield-Brother specifically.

• Words of Courage is instant cast.
• New taunt and detaunt skill
• New heralds - including females and dwarves
• Cry of Vengeance is a Rez also (hard to use)
• Interrupt skill Kick added (hard to use and long cooldown)
• Light of Elendil (chain attack with group buff)
• Summoning Horn isn't consumed on use (target needs travel rations)
• New skill triggers enemy defeat response (long cooldown, morale cost)
