I find it very strange that the final, final final, final delay of AoC happens to fall on exactly the same month and year as announced back in 2005;
Durham, USA — November 18, 2005 – Funcom announces the release of a brand new trailer for ‘Age of Conan – Hyborian Adventures’. The trailer showcases the fantastic qualities of the highly anticipated Online Action RPG, and is now available for download from the official website.
“Age of Conan – Hyborian Adventures” is scheduled for a Windows release in March 2008. The game won the Gamespot award as “Best MMO” of E3 2005, as well as being runner-up as the “Most Innovative Game of Show”.
Daddy Microsoft is very proud I'm sure!

What are you talking about ? E3 in 2005 was in may, this statement was made in november. Nothing weird here other that the 2008 march launch info.

It was updated.
Most of us remember the DAY it was updated, it was linked from their main page the day they changed it.
Ok, so you are telling me they updated some parts of old press-statements ? Except being very close to falseifying the past, I find it strange they don't do it properly in ALL the press-releases. I guess incompetance is better than lying the whole time to keep the interest of their customers...

You've got a very interesting take on this situation. You look at it and say they're incompetant, however I think a large portion of the community looks at it more so as being diligent, at updating crucial informations. I don't expect them to go back and edit the HUNDREDS of forum posts with the expected release date in it, but definitly update atleast one thats STICKY and/or an ANNOUNCEMENT. When people goto the forum they'll have no problem finding information about awards, and are not likely to cry about a thread post from years ago not having the up to date informations about new awards given out, however a player might be very upset if they read the post with the wrong date on it, that was Posted at the TOP of a forum reguarding a release date. Specificly because the post is in reguards to a RELEASE date, not awards won. This is also very typical of the types of edits on forums. I don't want people going back and changing every single thread because their opinions or views or minor details change, instead forums are used to see the flow of informations, including its origins.

Who was talking about forums ? This is a news/ pressrelease sent out in 2005. In a former press release they are using Q2 2006 and they have not changed that date...
