Can anyone help me out please...

in Dark and Light

    I would like to try Dark and Light, but I am on a school router and I think it is blocking me for some reason. Every other online game works but sometimes I have problems with the patching so I have to find alternate downloads. Anyways can anyone upload (DnLG.exe 8.22MB), (Ganareth.exe 6.13MB), and (Patchit2.exe 357.44MB) because I am unable to obtain them through patching. I listed the size of them with the names so I am identifying the right file hopefully. Anyways, your help would be very appreciated. Please don't respond and say, THIS GAME BLOWS don't waste your time. Please let me decide...

    Zepherant,

    Did you download it using the Bit Torrent or FTP options.  The DnLDownloader.exe did not work for me either nor did Bit Torrent at School.  but the FTP did.

    Be advised though that is is an hour long process at best, and that once downloaded and patched you still may encounter problems at log in (about 25% of new players do).  There are suggestions as to what you should do if you encounter these problems on the DnL boards as well.

    Thanks man... Downloading it again atm. Hopefully this works, I will deal with one problem at a time :P

    you posted this same thing on the dnl boards and was answered by the same person who answered here, You still have a problem. I hope you get help soon.

    Like many, there is a huge problem with the installation. This has been a problem since SOG.  Reviewing the boards today, you can see there are still the very same problems as there were back in Beta.  "improvements" have had very little influence on the games playability and user-friendly mode.

    Some people are just not able to install and play this game and there is no real clear cut answer as to why -- different reasons for different computers (eg people with same graphic card have different experiences, or same OS, etc, etc)

But I haven't played sinse early release so my input ends at that point. Except for support which is the worst I've ever seen... Even my creditcard company which gave me the bumsteer lately at least answered my ?'s. Dnl never did that for me...

    Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.
