Beta is over, anyway that is what they said, it is now P2P but the game isn't out in retail yet. You can try a 14day trial. though you will need to buy the game in retail in order to continue playing it after the 14 day trail.
Okay enough about that, I played this game in open beta the last week of it and it seemed great, Then i entered P2P, first month was good, then the prices sky rocketed cause of greed, party's became scarce and when you found a good party after hours of spamming for one it lasted 30 mins maybe a hour of hunting.
Then they put in the second server, Huge mistake not enough people play to warrent a second server, now i spend days looking for a party at lvl65, Prices have gone crazy and everyone gripes about it but no one does anything about it, I have 2 weeks left on my account and i am done with this game, as are so many i talk to in game, unless they do something real quick to improve the game. My opinion this game not worth the 50 dollars to buy retail and on top of that pay monthly for it.
It is lacking in content it is all pvp, quest are lame no great detail to them my 12 year old nephew could come up with better quest than in this game. And i am no 9 year old noob, I am 37 and i have been playing games longer than alot of you.

Lol, you seem so entertained. You really have to acutally "PLAY" the game. You probably just walked around everywhere then was like "omfg0rz this game sux0rz". Acutally TRY the game before you have an opinion.
If you are talking to me, I played this game for 2 months of P2P. I lvled my warrior to 65. I hunted on both maps and suffered thru the lame events. Was ambushed and killed while hunting on the second map and i was fighting a monster thought pvp was fighting against other player not being killed by one when i was fighting a monster. I did the quest up to that point other than running around and just talking to NPC's and killing a few mobs here and there wasn't much to them. This game is a fun deversion for awhile, while waiting for other mmorpg's to come out. But you get tired very fast of spending all your time at high lvl looking for a party to lvl for half a hour. For a game that is based on party hunting they didn'd set it up at all to provide for the party's to hunt with. I not the only one who feels this way i have talked to many in game who are tired and bored with this game. IF they were to fix the party problem along with all the bugs i would give this game another shot. So in closing i have tried this game, i invested 2 months of 5-8 hours aday into this game to form the opinion i have of it. Plus i thought at first this game was a cool game until the excitement wore off and the boredom kick in.
in order to be great at this game you can ask help in game and Guides or GMs will help you and higher player will always help a lending hand to people who have a intrest in this game i have been playing ryl sence MY open beta and i statred loving it the first 5mins of playing it now there have been hard times over thet years but it has really reached its peek and it a great game its really fun when you get lvl70++ chars and owning all other classes its soo fun but if your lower lvl just aviod pvp untill you think your ready so you dont get pissed ok if you have a Q just go to the ryl forms at ryl.net and ask away people will help you in or out of the game so you get paly it to the fullest

Ironic enough that the people who run that game actually when they get bored they go off and play Guild Wars, but when you start a thread about Guild Wars in RYL forums you get banned for it. At least I did.
RYL starts boring. Beating things to death with a stick is not fun for level 1 - 10. Then it picks up a bit from the natural high you get for class changes between level 11 - 25. Once you reach 26 it starts getting boring again. It picks up when you reach level 40 and you have a decent character and enough skill points to do stuff.
By level 50 its already boring and it takes forever to level. You reach level 60 and become slower than dead people. Finally when you reach level 65 and start PvPing you find there is a build problem and go for Stones of Oblivion, not realizing you lost to level 80 - 85 characters who are in guilds.
You create a Guild Fortress and then the whole game is you PvPing for No reason other than Fame Farming, Then your whole life becomes guarding a measly fortress from the 3 - 5 other guilds that could destroy it, but can care less about destroying them. There are videos people have made, which I have one of the game being so boring while guarding fortresses, that the characters actually kill themselves for fun.
If a game truly was that entertaining, cool and fun.....the one who made the video and posted it wouldnt have gotten enough "LMAO" and "COOL" replies. Instead people would have been like "Why?"
But unfortunately, it just goes to show. The game fluxuates between fun and boredom, but starts and ends with boredom.

Iveria = the name of the server in that game = your name = biased.
I had 5 characters in Iveria and that didn't stop me from getting extremely bored. Currently the PvP is the most unbalanced thing out there.
Have fun spawning and then waiting 30 seconds for god mode to wear off and have 10 - 20 characters between level 70 - 95 killing your level 65 charater at the same time. As long as you show up red, everyone will be gunning for you.
In guild wars its level 20 vs level 20. Skill vs Skill, to the point that every good party that I have been in, has had a teamspeak or ventrillo server. That just shows the kind of stuff you need to be well. Its not about numbers, but coordination. The last mission in guild wars can be beaten with Henchmen.
RYL is all hack and slash. You played for a month, I played for 12 - 24 times longer.

I think I can agree with being bored on the first level 1-10. It's all hack and slash game to level up. but one you reach level 11 to 25 you can get to master your skills, cuz in here you can change your class and you get to master your skill, and in level 26 well its not that boring you just have to find a way to be entertained like joining a party with higher level players, get to mingle with these players. Level 40 is the best cuz you will have higher skills, like summoning dragons and do stuff. Reaching level 50 is a level grindfest but not to worry about this because all you have to do now is join guilds, challenge players with your same level in a PvP. And also party with "again" higher level players for fast level ups. Im playing this game for 2 months, Im waiting for the third map called "Underworld" and also thinking of Joining the 1M tournament.
I remember reaching high levels in the games I played. PoTE got really boring for me and caused my system some damage. Enjoy what you want. I'm happier where I am now.
Also, I was never able to summon dragons in RYL PoTE. In fact people complained about dragons not being in the game.

ryl.com.my is the malaysian version of RYL or I think its RYL 2nd version... It is full of bugs. damn! What im playing right now is the US version of RYL: Path of the Emperor which is the 3rd version of RYL.. here check out their site www.ryl.net

So far, RYL has been anything BUT boring for me... and in regards to the different versions... I also play the NA version, www.ryl.net. As for myself, I highly recommend the game, and have to give the NA version props for the quality of customer service.

The economy system in this game is quite fucked IMO. You can get super-rich from the beginning by just selling silvins... The only thing that hooked me in this game was the combat system. I have to admit RYL has got the best and funniest combat system compared to other MMORPGs. This game was funny for 10 days and then this game went to the trashcan.
well cold_hawk ur right its has the best combat system among all mmorpgs...but ur wrong with the thing that after 10 games it went to the trashcan....this game is good and it dont deserve to be put in any trashcan...
the game is quite awesome once you get to the higher levels.luckilly i got several months of free gaming coz i bought the game and answered several survey at RYL.net
yeah you were right fortunefader,its really awesome once you get to the higher level,you can feel on that stage that you really enjoying the game once you reach the level 11 and up because of the skills.
