WOW content.

Well has been past 9 months since TCB and blizzard didn't gave to us players any free content update since then, all they did was announcing one more xpack that we have to pay, while other games out there always giving to their costumers free content updates every month or every 2 months. It seems that blizzard only want to make profit before the game dies, But this is our fault, we the ones that pay $15 month for this crap, I done with it bye bye WOW.

Ummm? didn't they add the Black Temple, Skettis, Ogrila and the Netherdrake areas in a fairly recent patch?

Granted we are overdue for a content patch. The current one has been on the test servers for ages as they work out the kinks in voice chat. But it hasn't been 9 months.

yeah right, where is the promises they made? like hero classes, housing? voice chat you say? every game now has that, DDO have it for 2 years now, LOTRO has it, eq2 has housing and ALOT more content then WOW, all wow as is raids more raids and the new xpack will bring more of the same, will be the same old outdated graphics, and more raids. what they do with all money they make? it seems they only  have 2 or 3 people working on the game.

They gave TBC  for free to chineses, and to NA and Euro players the ones that pay  $15 month?

My landlord didn't give me any free months rent even though I've been paying for 4 years. The lender whom I borrowed money from to buy a car hasn't given my car any free upgrades, or given me free payments. Krogers has never given me anything.  Geez, why isn't everyone giving me free stuff?

Wow... are you just now realizing that things have vastly different pricing in different parts of the world? If so, all I can say is... welcome to the global economy. You have a lot of studying to do. I suggest you start by immediately whining about how much your car, house, food, computer, and internet cost as well in relation to various other parts of the world. I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find that you're being screwed at every turn.

OP it just seems to me that you are burned out with WoW, not picking sides or anything and I wish you nothing but happines but WoW is a Raid PvE oriented game, and it has been since launch so it wont change, Xpack add more content, sometimes some new features but most of the times just content, to give the players more of what they love which in this case is pve, raiding, instances, quests and some pvp stuff to keep the people entertained.

As far as free content Blizz has done a good job with that, I do agree that they havent been adding as much free content to the game as they did before TBC (or so it seems) but whatever the case may be there is alot to do in WoW, even if you compare it to all the MMOs in todays market.

Whine or not, I think the OP has a valid point. Considering how many WoW players from US/EU that are faithfully paying ~$15 per month, their "free" content updates leave much to be desired, especially when compared to other MMOs with a much smaller playerbase, who depsite that fact, manage to pack as much or more into their content updates.

Where is all that money going? What about content other than yet another raid or 5 man instance (or its supporting feature, such as voice chat)? Are we ever going to actually see housing in WoW? Meaningful PvP? A worthwhile crafting system that isn't just a reputation/instance grind in disguise to get the recipe/components needed for the item? The list goes on.

Well, thankfully there are other MMOs out there

Yes, thankfully there are other MMOs out there.  Ones that have player housing, coupled "worthwhile crafting system" and what you would term "meaningful PvP", neither of which are grinds in disguise.

Please show the bitter and jaded anti-WoW crowd where these MMOs are, so that they can stop being bitter and jaded and trying to convince WoW players that the game they're playing sucks.

Because quite frankly, all of those features that exist in other MMOs are badly implemented, superficial, or simply "grinds in disguise".

    We get plenty of content.

Well TBC was 1 big content pach in its self, and believe it or not many ares till working their way through that stuff.

But yes I would like to see more stuff, but Blizzard are not ones to rush stuff just because other games have to rush out content to stop their tiny player base from moving on, WoW is not in that position it has a loyal player base of millions who are happy to wait that little bit longer for bug free, testing and balanced content.

    Almost Ready

We plan to implement the following features in the next major patch.

Please note that this list is a sneak peek at just a few highlights of the next patch. It does not contain every addition, change, or bug fix that will be implemented.

    • Voice Chat - Players can use a built-in voice chat tool to speak with other players in groups, battlegrounds, and even private channels.
    • Improved Chat Interface - Improvements to the chat channels and functionality are available under the chat tab in the social window of the interface.
    • Mac Movie Capture - The Mac client is able to capture in-game video to QuickTime movie files using a configurable choice of codec, resolution, and frame rate.
    • More

    Coming Soon

We plan to implement the following features in upcoming patches.
    • Zul'Aman - A high-level 10-player instance located in the Ghostlands
    • Guild Banks
    • Sunwell Plateau - A high-level 25-player instance located north of Silvermoon City

Haven't played WOW since before TBC..and while I feel WOW is deficient in many areas (for me) I would not say the game suffers for a lack of content.  Sure, you might not like all the raid instances and tasks that must be done to access and complete them...but that is the core gameplay..... and I'm willing to bet only a small number of players can honestly say they've mastered every boss/instance and completed all their sets.

The rest of the players I'm sure have a long way to go.....

But when you consider all the XP added, that's not that bad.  The XP added more than 6 free content patches would have, so what's the problem?

Note to Blizz:  Do yourself a favor and just skip any future expansions for everyone else and just send them to me.  I won't complain.  I promise.

    @ OP

There have been plenty of content patches - Black temple, ogri'la, netherdrakes / nether rays, new arena, and some other stuff.

Zul'Aman is coming up very soon.

There will also be another 25man raid introduced a few months before WoTLK is released. Rumor is it will be 'The Sunwell'.

They have not been very frequent because..

    • They are working on WoTLK
    • They were working on Starcraft 2
    • They have been and are still working on another MMO

If im not mistakend most of that stuff you listed was content that people were sold on TBC for and now they are just releasing them in content patches in other words that stuff was penciled down for TBC as an expansion not free content. Only stuff on that list thats wasn't is the new Factions (Ogri'la and Skyguards) easy to get netherdrakes (Netherdrakes were ment to be arena champion mounts only) Sunwell, voice chat and guild banks.

Im not saying the stuff they did give people isn't good, i'm glad that they are adding content (even tho its not that much) its just that Black Temple and the Eye ect are not free content patches because they are just slowly released content from TBC Expansion from launch. I can see why they do this tho, if you release with every bit of content you had planed people would burn out too quickly and progression would be all over the place. But its back firering alittle, alot of Vets are leaving because of this.

To the OP, you say LOTRs is release new content?

LOTRs at launch had so little content the stuff they are releasing now seems huge in comparason to what they had at launch. They are doing the same as Blizz and to be honest almost every other MMO out there, releasing unfinished stuff and then release content that was planed for the begining and porning it off as new stuff.

Im not sticking up for WoW or LOTR Online, there both as bad as one another content wise.

    Current MMO: Nothing
    Waiting For: FireFall, GW2

I quit wow too for the same reasons. They make well over a Billion a year off Wow. They add barely anything.

I'll play the best Pve and tradeskill game out there. Everquest not EQ2 . Eq2 wasn't nearly as good. Everquest is great i've played it for 2months now and it is wayyy fun. Just alot to learn. But the net helps with that.

Please do not forget LOTRO had about a 10th of the content WoW had at launch.  And all new MMOs throw content at players at the start to convince them to say (its all part of the launch strategy that all companies use.. yes even turbin).. WoW was throwing content at players every 2 or so months in the first year.. after that it slows as it will do with LOTRO too.

And if you realy believe that Turbin give a %^££ about you then dream on, they want your money as does blizzard, SoE and others. you not special.. just subscriber number 2832 or whatever.

you don't know turbine at all i see. LOTRO started with 2200 quests, WOW started with 1000.

AC, content patch added every month since start.

AC2, same as ac till the day they closed it.

DDO content patch every 2 months

LOTRO content patch every 2 months

they never slow down on their other games, why they should slow down with LOTRO?

WOW never trow content patches every 2 months, best they did was every 4 months at start. i'm not any game fanboi like many here, i played wow like many other games, and lemme tell you, about free content patches blizzard sucks bad.
