DDO more per month than Wow or LOTRO??

Why does Dungeons and Dragons Online cost £10.56(inc taxes) whilst WoW and LOTRO cost £8.99 (inc taxes)? Is DDO also more expensive in the US, Canada and Australia too??

    I always thought that DDO was  14.99US / month , which is the same as LOTRO / Month US. Or at least it was when I was playing.

    I think its because blizzard and some others soak up the feeking VAT @ 17.5% while DDO does not I guess.
