Hi, i just whant you to stop for a sec and think. How manny mmo's have you played where the servers are packed and yet you feel alone more or less like standing on the streets of a crowded city and watching ppl carry on whit theyr normal routines,
now what is the chanse that you can stop one of them and get theyr full cooperation in ansewring a question or giving you directions. Slime to none i woud say, now what does this have to do whit the game you ask your self if you have even botherd to read this long, i am about to answer that question. I started playing this game about a month ago, yes i will admit that it took me a while to get a hang of the controlls and how the way things where handeld but i desided that i was going to give this game a try even tho i had already once before gone straight past it due to the grafix but i posted a post on the forum saying i needed a ship to serv on and it dident take me 5 min before my post whas answerd and i was abord the ship whit almost al wy questions answerd. So i ask you again think about it, how long does it take before your eyes get used to the grafix of a game whit uber grafix 15 20 min maybe, so think about it does the grafix really mean anny thing at all in the long runn.... i say no, the comunety of the games does, this game breaths, it lives as things happen in your real life it for some reason afecs the game in ways manny woud say cant be. so i ask you try the game, read on the forum and you will get a long way, and if you are ready to give it a try ask for a sip to serv on and you will be on your way either in the U.A.S fleet or as a indepentent trader/mercenery or explorer, maybe a govenor of a clolony at the edge of known space. i will see you out there

Graphics are really over-rated. So many MMOGs focus on the "fluff" of being dazzling akin to actual content and game play.
Now while there is grinding in this game. The majority of your progress depends solely on you as a player. For the Civilian side of the game, you are immediately placed in a sand box. One in which that is based off of the 17,000 nearest stars to earth using the HIP and HD star catalogs. Whats more is my own colony I was able to look up its location with the program of Celestia so I can point out "my" star in the night sky.
For the Fleet side you are given a tutorial and the structured step by step of the military. Its the easiest part of the game to get into. And its most like star trek in which you are a crew member on a ship. Here advancement isn't based on how long you spend on the game. Its based on your social skills, leadership and organizational ability. You have to deal with people from all walks of life to make sure you develop a close nit crew. The saying here is very true, a ship is only as good as her crew.
The game is really intimidating at first, the reason why is it isn't a WOW carbon copy using the formula of what works. The graphics as i said before are not the most important aspect of the game as you trade down in graphics, you game a massive expanse of game space in which to work with.
If you like a challenge...and a MMOG that wont allow you to master the system in a few hours. Give the game a shot. Its worth the initial heart ache of getting used to things. You can ease it a lot by taking 30mins to search the sites forum for your questions and by becoming active on the forum. Much of what needs to be learned in game is taught to you by other players (social skills).
