Suddenly, I have an urge to return back to FFXI, only 4 moths after quitting. Checked yesterday, my ID are still there,  can resume where I left.  But I'm sure I would regret it. Please remind me why it's not a good idea to come back.  BTW I'm from GMT zone, FIY.

Of course I gave in and what do I see? Dead empty server during GMT afternoon. Why EU hates this game so much?

Still, I'll try to level up NIN a bit. Not holding my hopes high, for sure.

  FFXI has 300k active accounts to data and packet sniffers , 80% or more are at cap or end game. That leaves 20% , supposely 1% are lowbies 1 to 20. But I dont think those numbers are true, the other thing said is 25% of active users are Euro , but towards the end of the run I saw 1 european , and 3 americans during peak Us time and peak euro time.

        The nice thing is Phoenix is so over run with bots post 50 its not hard to get into a gilseller party, and they dont talk or anything but its best xp ever.

Cuz the game requires some dedication on your part, don't play if you don't think you can keep up wit it..

I was thinking about it. IMO this is the result of their philosophy of having one set of global server for all, plus auto assigment of new chars. (until recently). So if EU players make say 1/5 of pop, they would fit on 6 servers. But they are spread thru 32 servers now.

So I'm stuck between players, who doesn't speek english and and those who do, but are just starting when I go to bed. 

I'll let SE know what I think about this.

Is there any possability that they could move your character to a different server? Not sure if this is possible, but worth a shot. ^^

Yes, your IDs can be moved. But

1) price is 25 bux

2) to what server? There's zero info about server pop.

I have spent  this morning looking for EU/UK linkshells at fanzone.playonline.com.

But even when I find one, moving to different server is tough decission becuase it may fail to improve anything.

I'm on Bismarck as well and like 1/3 of my LS is from Europe.  I play during the day time and usually have no problems getting parties from people in the states or across the pond.  Send me a tell in game if you're bored
