What server should I play on? Also, I want a PvP server - are they any good or are they dead? and can you PvP on the PvE servers?

There's one FFA PVP server. There are no safe zones at all and you can be attacked anywhere. It has a healthy population but it also has the majority of the hackers on it. Still there are more honorable players than cheaters but the cheaters really can ruin the fun of a good PVP fight. Hopefully, SOE will start throwing the ban stick a lot more as they fix more of the game.

On the PVE servers there is no open PVP but you can duel. Not the same thing though. I mainly play on Seradon but Sartok (PVP server) is a fun diversion sometimes. If you roll your main on the PVP server, find some friends and a guild if you plan to stay. Soloers don't fare too well there. Also, if you plan to craft at all, make a seperate crafter and don't level him past 6 so you can craft in peace.
