I remember when I quit: 9 months after WoW was first released.
I remember that I got really bored from playing it due to a great number of reasons...
After I quit, I played many, many free to play MMOs over the years. But those ran out very quickly as well, even though they were numerous. The ones I enjoyed the most were shut down.
It doesn't seem like I got much entertainment out of them like I did out of WoW. Guild Wars, Everquest II, City of Heroes, DAoC are some of the pay to play ones I've tried. Not so much in those either. Also the newer ones aren't very good.
It doesn't seem like I'm getting any fun out of playing MMOs anymore.
No, I'm not going to resuscribe to WoW. Though I would get the most fun out of it.
It seems like the general quality of newer MMOs has decreased. But that can't be it. It must be that they've gotten old for me.
If so, then these are my statistics...
Age: 14.
First MMORPG: World of Warcraft. Quitting level: 53.
Time spent playing MMOs: 4 years.
Quit: 2007.

I doubt that this problem is exclusive to you. There are a good many people who are bored and/or disgusted with the current crop of MMOs.
"They just don't make 'em like they used to."
Actually, the problem isn't that they don't make them like they used to.
The problem is, they make them exactly like they used to.

HAHA! I suppose you're right. What I meant, of course, was that they don't make them with the innovation and delicate care like they used to. RPGs used to be an art form, and now they are just a way to make money, like anything else in this world.
