Motor City Online

I just wanted to see if anyone who played it was still around.  I thought it was the best racing game ever but I can't play it anymore because EA shut it down.  They have a probelm with that I guess.  Anyone hear of any other companies trying to make a clone of it or atleast something very similar to it?  That would be something I would pay a good amount to play.image

I played it for quite a while, both in beta and after release. I liked it but it definitely had it's problems, not the least of which being the cheaters. Completely ruined the game. My only other major problem with the game was that there were a lot of cars and parts I felt should have been there and weren't. And no, I'm not referring to the imports and such that a lot of people complained about not being there, I'm an American Muscle fan, love classic muscle cars, which is the main reason I liked MCO. But there were some cars which were a major part of the American Muscle scene which weren't in the game. And a lot of parts.

The game did have a few probelms but every game does.  I think EA just doesn't believe in patches or updates.  I see all these games on this site that sucessfully play online for years and then look at the one game I always played and see it couldn't last and it had the backing of the most well funded company in gaming.

I played it from release till right before closing i loved it and wish it would come back..I agree the cheaters and scammers scared people away but with the people they still had playing it they could have kept it open for at least another yearimage
