Hi..due to a recent job, I have a surplus of income..I am looking to upgrade my computer to play some new games, I want to be able to play potbs/war on high settings-medevil total war with some decent settings-and basically, all of the newer games with sick graphics/detailed gameplay..
So basically , what im working with now is..
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 1022MB RAM
My video card i think.. RADEON X300 SE (0x5B60)
If you need more information, just ask lol-just need to know what i need to upgrade, and where i need to upgrade it too..im willing to spend around, 300 dollars to upg i suppose.

And get a decent NVIDA graphics card. [ake this your priority as its the most costly].

No need to limit your market to Nvidia. Here is a side by side comparison of similiarly priced cards so you can pick your price range and see the best video card for it. It was redone this month to reflect the driver updates.
Best Video Card for the Money
When it comes to computer hardware, consider my knowledge as limited as...that miss teen usa's knowledge of world affairs..thus why I decided to ask mmorpg forums rather then going out and finding out what they mean, because well..I am lazy.

Well you need to upgrade all of it.............
But first you need to tell us which Motherboard are you using, that's the main piece you have to check before you do any upgrade.
Ya Ste2000 is right.
Personally I'd wait till I have more money, and make the upgrade worth while. If you were to upgrade right now, you'd only be able to upgrade one thing, and I guess you'll be limited by the fact that your other components are out of date.
And there is no such thing as "surplus of income."
Double the RAM spend at least £100 on a new GFX card.
You will see the difference and be able to run any new game on the market well.
True but Nvida makes the best ones.

Not really, ATI has been updating its drivers. They now offer a 1024 MB HD2900 version. I checked to see if they slowed the clock and they speed it up. They almost have a version that can compete with the Ultra right now but costs a hundred less.
