second, in your first image substitute the swords for clubs and you have my point as barbarians
finally, well i really must be blind, because in the first night image the only think they did was to give the textures a darker ambient light put a sky with dark textures and fill the whole scenario with fire, man if it wasn't for the clouds covering the sky that sky would be light blue, and you say thats night?
about the second picture, omg... i will give you a hint instead... can you tell me in which direction the sun is? the only thing they used to look day was the clear light blue sky and the "fake" blue fog in the more distant buildings... actually they use that "fog" everywhere to compensate the lack of atmosphere
metal doesn't look like metal (including gold stuff), rocks and walls look like the sand or the cloths textures with different "shapes"... the only things that does look good to me is the wood in houses and stuff...
Yao folks! I've been following the progress for Warhammer online since mid 2006 and now it really starts to get close to release date. At first my hype was at top, but as the months kept passing by and very little was made (progress wise, you'll understand soon) to the graphics. Now, September 22th, a year and few months after I knew it was coming, it still looks like it was made by a bunch of blind guys with no sence of beauty. Graphics's not everything, I know that but seriously, have any of you ever watched ANY of the movies they have released? I can't honestly think of a game that has THAT many edges in it (including Super Mario on SNES back in the -90). In my small mind I though when I was looking at the pre-alpha fotage that 'OK, this is just a rough drawing of good things to come'. Today, I watched the "before-after movie" they've got on their website. Oh my god, please don't tell me they've completed this game just adding lights. Sure, it looks better but it doesen't take away the fact that it's pure buttugly beneith all that swagger. Graphics's not everything but let's compare it to something. Like for instance a car. If you gonna pay for a car, would you go for the buttugly one with 15 radio channels or the honkey donkey awesome looking with 13 radio channels? This is insane, hmm, I need a better comparison. Anyhow, I wanna hear your thoughts on this and if someone feels the same way. I personally woulden't say that it's to early to be talking about this coz' it's like less than 2 months before release, can they really change the hole outlook of the game in that time? My point is that the vids they upload on their oficial website are buttugly. Wich in my opinions seems like a bad publicity stunt. When for a fact you can find some good looking vids on ie. youtube. Honkey donkey means cool, it's not a insult lol. I think? But as it turnes out it's about 50/50 of the vids showing really nice stuff and half ugly as hell. But as someone said in a earlier post "i've been playing the game and it's far better than any youtube vid shows".
