Don't care what anyone says - Tabula Rasa is extremely fun and worthwhile. I can ususally only get on about 1 hour a day, but I still find i can complete at least a few missions per log and I feel as though I am accomplishing something with my character. Thats just me though.
This game is worth checking out if you're not into WoW like fantasy... and WoW like end-game 5 hour raids for slotted epics you'll never obtain. Thx 4 reading.

Hmm...from what most posters say.... your title should have been "This game is 'a' bomb.
Me? I'll wait until after its released and see how it goes from there.

I like the idea, the game mechanics and everything. IT HAS NO PVP OMGZORZ.
Im a big PvP fanatic and fan, people MAY love this game - I dont.
I think another faction or something would have made this game The Bomb! But untill then, this game is a pathetic piece of poo in my eye.
NOTE: THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, you may think differently - dont flame me.

Actually, it's what they plan to detonate on that shuttle once he's IN space.
isnt it "set up us the bomb" ?

I agree with the OP. I think this game is great for a casual player. Great fun, good action, immediately immersive. Only got an hour to play you are immediately in the action and can accomplish a something. Want to do something fun and challenging you can do an instance mission solo or do a harder one with a buddy or two.
I think with balancing, tweaks and some of the enhancements we know about to UI, Crafting, and high end logos this game is set for a great launch. Hopefully they can keep it going and have some interesting things planned for the future.

I will agree...this game is good for about an hour a day or 3-4 a week...just want to run around, kill stuff, play with your specs, decent graphics and performance...it is good like that..I enjoyed it quite a bit...
What is NOT good is charging monthly for such a casual shoot em up!
Not gonna pay to shoot stuff...thanks..Remove the fee, make it like GW...then I will so buy the box!
Cheers!
haha
I have played it. I think it is an interesting concept and does have some really good features in it. Cloning a charaters so you never have to replay those first levels was a great idea. Making a last name stick to an account so if you are pond scum you can't just log on to another character and be consequence free. Using both buttons on the mouse is nice, makes combat a bit more dynamic. Mini map was really nice with the filters.
Other then those things I really thought the game was lacking for me. I know there will probably be people who will love it and that is fine. I just don't see that it is very different from a dumbed down EQ or WOW.

Having played Beta, TR feels like it's repeating Auto Assault history all over again.
In other words, this game is going TO bomb!
Would you imagine a videogames magazine stating in each review that
"since games are just something you do for 1 hour a day as disengaged pastime, this game is just as great as anyone, woohoo"
Thank god this doesn't happen. Critical and objective judgements still exist. We can't base ourselves upon subjectivity and give it a high value, It's called chaos.

right now it's not worth the cash they are asking for it, regardless of what the slavishly devoted fanbois think
Didn't Richard Garriot advertised the game as pretty much the "game of the casual player" anyway?
From what I see by the beta testers it seems that this is the case.

if it was a one-off price like Guild Wars, I'd consider buying it, as it is, it is NOT worth a monthly subscription fee. The people who do buy the box and last long enogu to start the monthly subscription fees are supporting a beta, not paying for a fully-developed, mature product
so far its just a copy of Neocron with a few new things but also lacking a few other things. played it for a few days and it felt like Neocron with abit better graphics!
i dont see it doing great at launch. one that i will personally pass.
I love this game. Cant wait until its released.
This game might as well be a single player game. I agree to the above poster, I wont pay a monthly sub for this game, more like GW, I would accept to pay for the box and expansions.
So on the money here...
