A friend and I were just talking about this. You go back a year ago and just about every high-sec asteroid field was full of (one could assume) macro-miners. Today,.. you'll be hard pressed to find one before you log off.

I've heard that they have been migrating to missioning and null-sec complexes, though I haven't seen them myself yet.

Considering the anti-macro-miner campaigning that people are so eager to do, the changes to static complexes in Revelations II that made them harder to find, and CCP's recent policy stating that any non-internal trading of ISK or GTC is now 'illegal' with banning as a penalty, I see life for the ISK farmer in EVE becoming more and more harsh.

Its nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

Ive seen them inside Branch and Venal in rattingravens, farming the belts there. Killed ~20 of them, but they keep coming back..
We intercepted their transports with torps too, it doesnt help..we have to sleep from time to time and cant control anyone who comes in and goes out.

I'm not so sure of that, because they did add servers and what not to deal with lag.  I think that for the most part they do have a serious growth bottleneck, in that you can only add so much based on our current technology before the concurrent users have to be seperated.  Most MMORPGS divide people among similiar servers.  WOW can have 2 million subscribers because of this design.  Eve Online could never support that many...

The max concurent users on a World of Warcraft server is about 1500.

Having 2 million subscribers is not something you have overnight to permit a particular design.  It's a work in progress and something that's created out of need.  You do recall that the WoW servers will full and had upto 45 minute wait times to login?  I do.  This is why they built larger systems which could permit for more "servers" thus allowing more players to login.

The only limitations to EVE are the genre and gaming environment.  What is the possible number of concurrent users needed to render most system "populated"?  with 36k online I can go through many systems without seeing anyone.  Seems like EVE can deffintly continue it's subscriber base and be able to support the players with the environment - they'll just have to update their YARdware!

And the players have to stop littering around Jita, Motsu etc..

Seriously, 500people in local kill eve. Go somewhere else. For missionrunning, there are agents that noone knows about, because they never thought there would be a place to run missions out of the normal missionsystems..

Like that Lvl4 Q18 security-agent i found. local in that system never exceeded 40 people...

Eve could probably handle many, many more people ingame, as the current cpu-load is at 15-20% average. Theres is MUCH room, if players were intelligent enough to not cluster around in a few systems and then whining about lag..

(not mentioning 0.0 warfare here. you mostly have no choice but to blob up..)
