are there PVP servers? I mean FFA-like or something similiar

Are there any PVP servers at launch?

TR looks interesting but i dont want to be on a PvE server no matter how good the PvP on a PvE server is :P

    The game wasn't really built for PvP.  It'll probably be better than EQ2 or some other total PvE game that added PvP as an after thought, but if you're looking for good PvP you've gotta wait for WAR or AoC.

    They just barely added a PVP aspect to the game in beta. They really aren't focused on that at all, rather pitting you up against similar acting Bane forever.

    if you want pvp that badly then the wait for fury and war.

    Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

    No PVP currently, but the Devs hint that it will come.

    Wouldn't surprise me in the least... Good platform for that!

    Better get your thinking cap on if they do... Maneuver WILL be relevant.

    I'm not sure PvP would really make sense with the current lore.  Humans attacking humans would be aweful :(  The bane wiped out our homeworld and we need to focus on killing them or what chance do we have!?!

     

    Now maybe in some other planet where we have villages etc and have secured the area from the bane then it is only natural that humans would start killing humans. 

     

    Or maybe in a later patch some of the alien races would become playable that would be interesting also.

    IMHO, the only way they could incorporate PvP is to allow players to roll bane. (or have access to them like LotRs monster play) Humans fighting Humans doesn't fit in the lore at all nor with the structured military theme they have now. (they painted themselves in a corner on that one)

    In that case you may as well play an actual shooter like Enemy Territory - Quake Wars because its gonna be the same thing minus the actual shooter mechanics and first person perspective.
