Buddy Key Question (not requesting one)

For the 10-day free trial, would the player be allowed to keep the character they made off the free keycode once it has run out? As long as they buy the game and enter the keycode for that disk? I would imagine so but I haven't seen much info about it on Vanguard's site.

Yes, you keep the your characters, as long as you register your retail serial with the same account, that you used for your buddy key.
