I thing that mmorpg.com needs to open a forum for the up coming Bioware mmo. I know that there has been a lot of information from Bioware but there are a lot of gamers and perspective gamers that would like to discuss the Bioware MMO.
I don't claim to be right, I'm just posting.

What is there to discuss when Bioware haven't even said anything about their MMO apart from some game engines it will use?
But a great part of the posts on mmorpg.com on any game in development is just pointless talk about rumors and speculations, too.
Does anyone even know exactly what the bioware mmorpg is?

No so it's not worth anymore indepth discussion. They probally wont say anything till after it's been through a top secret alpha and is ready for closed Beta. That could be another year.
It's Second Life 2.

I hope MMORPG.com doesn't open up a forum for the upcoming Bioware mmo, they havent announced what the game will be, the setting of the game or the title so all the discussion is pointless. Its just going to be full of know it alls and discussion about nothing with no foundation.

It doesn't deserve it's own official thread... yet. They just haven't released enough. However, I have been thinking of starting something like a blog on mmorpg.com or something, where people anticipating the game can gather facts and even speculate. You can obviously see what I'm personally hoping for even if it is foolish hehe
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
If you want more information email this guy contact@drewkarpyshyn.com
No where in his FAQ does it say he won't answer question like:
Are you curently working on stories for the BioWare MMO?
Can you tell me what it's based on?
ect

Star Wars or Mass Effect, I'd be very happy with either of those...and he's written novels for both! But I really hope it's not fantasy based... not even if its Baldurs Gate
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
I agree. This genre has fantasy falling out of its collective ass. A real, new sci-fi mmorpg is sorely needed.
I second that. As nice as fantasy is, its now SO over-done that it takes little to no ingenuity. Hell, even flop sic-fi mmo's i have to give more credit to because they were at least willing to try something different. Yes i understand they're expensive to build etc, etc, but thats why you really talk to the community before going into it and you make sure you have the communities support and advice throughout the development. Far too often companies build these games that are going to be "genre breaking" ::cough Tabula Rasa cough::, but they dont ask for advice/support till beta goes out.
I mean yeah, you'd have a lot of people bitching, but at the same point, you might as well give people what they like and make money doing it... even if it takes time.
