Hey im thinking about picking this up as in im getting bored of WoW and was wondering if theres endgame and im really into how your char progresses gear wise (looks) So i was wondering if someone can post some pictures of a endgame char.
I played it during beta which was fun but the only problem was most of the gear sort of looked the same and was wondering if they changed that.
Thanks.

From my experience there is an endgame, but there isnt a whole lot yet, just 1 or 2 raids along with the various instances you can do. Endgame gear varys a lot, but the "epic" class sets you can get from the raids arent that great, at least they werent last I played. I think that by the time you'll make it to lvl 50 and start endgame there will hopefully be a little bit more to do.

Actuly there is a huge lot to do in this game...some players just dont know were to find it.... this game isnt were you go to molten core, bwl and stuff everynight to do the same thing over aigan ,altrough there are some raids its not mass riad orentaited like wow. So if your a huge fan of doing 8 hour raids and spending time whit a giuld, figering out how to kill a boss this is not the game for you, everything in this game is prety short and casual and not much hardcore.
Playing: World of Warcraft.
Played: Lord of the Rings Online, Starwars Galaxies.
Tried: Starwars the Old Republic, Everquest 2, Guild Wars, Vanguard, Age of Conan, Aion.
From what I have seen endgame is about level 35...as a lot of people end up leaving at that time (according to posts I have read and my own personal experience)
This is not to deter you, but to warn you...it is not WoW, DAoC, or EQ2...in that the goal is the endgame...the main game is to make friends, do some light crafting, kill some bears, boars and wolves.....and slowdown and smell the flowers (lots of those to look at...very pretty graphics)...at least that is what everyone kept saying...

If you like the fancy/crazy armors in WoW you won't like LOTRO, it's a low-fantasy game so everything is pretty down to earth. There's some great looking stuff as you get high level, and the best stuff is crafted, but you won't look like an anime mechazoid like your WoW armor gets in the upper raid tier sets.
Much like when WoW was new, the end-game is limited. The instances are totally not WoW-like but Helegrod is more "normal" but it also averages 3-5 hours to complete from what my kinship has been saying so far. Another raid is coming in the next content update. There's plenty of stuff to do, but it's an even more casual game than WoW so if you're a power gamer you'll be 50 and bored too quickly. And the low-fantasy thing isn't for everyone, we're all used to high-fantasy MMO's. I like LOTRO but I also sub to EQ2 and Vanguard for my high-fantasy needs just to balance things out.
Yeh Lotro & Vanguard combination is great for me as well.
REALITY CHECK
Talking about character appearance, you have a appearance tab in EQ2, from level 20 and up, in wich you can place the armor you want your toon to show. Not trying to flame lotro, i think is a great game. But most games should add this option.
LOTRO does have a dressing window. Has had one since closed beta were you can try on the armour or weapon before actually putting in on. So yeah they do have this option.
I think it is difficult to place labels, such as 'endgame' on a game like LotRO, when everyone basically knows that the game we are playing now is a very small portion of the overall game world and the story of the War of the Ring. I think at best, you can expect a sort of 'mini-endgame' (if you are thinking in WoW terms) at the current level cap, but with each expansion there is going to be more of the world opened to gameplay and a change in 'endgame' dynamics.
