3D glasses and gaming-- Is it worth it?

I have never heard of 3D used in gaming until I came to this website. None of my friends have the gear, so I wanted to take a poll and see if people think they are worth it.

It sounds like if you are thinking of buying the glasses, you better make sure that they work with your game, or its a complete waste. The idea of 3D gaming is extremely cool, and I am definitely going to check it out at some point in time, but the question is wether enough games support the glasses and wether the technology has progressed to a point where the price is worth the return.

Hey there. Personally, I'd love to play in a virtual 3D world....it's one of my dreams. But more then just using the glasses. I want the gloves and a whole simulation type fo thing. I want to be completely immersed within the game, where you can feel the wind on your face and can tell different tectures and weights hehe.  aka...I want a new life in a new world....but hey...that's what dreaming is for right? ^_^

If by 3D glasses, you mean VR glasses, then they're of no greater use these days. I know of not a single game you can play on a PC where you can use those. I believe there are games for consoles that use them, tho... so you may want to gather more info on the subject.

if you read about what hes talking about you would know hes not talking VR, but the 3d glasses they have a review for on pretty much all the mmorpg sites.

I hate a chance to use them once, and I would say yes. They are worth it, its hard to explain, cause you cant really take a screenshot, its just really amazing, the games start to look amazingly realistic.
