Voyage Century: A Unusual View

SzarkSzark News ManagerMember Posts: 4,420

IGG has released new information about Voyage Century Online and the features that they believe sets this game apart from the crowd.

Voyage Century Online What are the unusual features of this MMORPG? What we think of VCO first may be its ornate, aesthetic, and 3D graphics. And more gamers may pay close attention to its marine trade, spells, naval battles, battlegrounds, flagships, boss grade monsters, gears, etc.

However, if we attempt to look over VCO from a sideward or hidden angle, we may find some indiscoverable unusual features of VCO.

High-key guild battles

Guild war is not scarce in online games. However the form of guild contest for hegemony in VCO is quite rarely seen. There ever broke out a large-scale battle that affected the whole server in almost every server of VCO, which lead to the hegemony of a strong guild and then the stable situation of the server.

The situation is quite particular, but it is able to stimulate all the guilds’ battling enthusiasm to the peak. However, it is very difficult to win other player’s recognition in VCO. It is time to make mental preparations for the guild hegemony in VCO if you want to challenge the peak of VCO.

Pirate group is very popular

Pirates are always very popular in VCO, especially after the <Pirates of the Caribbean> came up. The player can choose to be a Pirate in any phase of the adventure in VCO. And a higher-level Pirate would be stronger. Besides, the one-day earning obtained by using the Pirate’s unique ability--Disposal of Stolen Goods 4 may even be on a par with the richest trade caravan.

What’s more, Pirates possess a unique class feature--blackmail. Pirates possess the privilege to blackmail the non-pirate players on open sea. Surely, the non-pirate player has the right to refuse the Pirate’s blackmail. But it usually leads to a fierce fight. The Pirates will never feel tiresome to blackmail other players. After all, if a Pirate does not rob, can he be called Pirate? That’s why the new comers of VCO always pay close attention to the matters concerned about acting as a Pirate.

This game has been destroyed by massive use of macros.  IGG seems to not want to do anything about it.  I suggest anyone interested in playing this game to look somewhere else as VCO is about to completely die off.  One guild(Dynasty Ming) used macros to gain lvls very fast in early stages of this game.  At this point one of their players is able to kill an entire guild of fairly high lvl players.  The balance is so far off that the 2nd strongest guild in the game just disbanded and left.

I wouldnt say this is true. If you have been closely following the vco forum, you would have known that Dynasty Ming, though they do own many cities, may not as you say, the massive use of macros, rather they MAY have been training harder than the rest. Yes, I do know that there are some people who use macros in their guild and have been found out, acc got banned.

Regarding the balance, its now going back to "balanced", as certain TGE guilds have been taking cities from the BBS, resulting  in the BBS losing cities. And yes, people leaving a game is not unusual, if one gets too bored of a game, one would definitely leave, so it is not caused by the macros and Dynasty Ming.

On a side note, I agree that IGG isnt responding to any of the players request...

Give me a break, not using Macros huh?  And we should take your word for it then, lol.

The problem with games like this, they recieve so little support from the developers that just about anything goes.  Macroing is extremely common because the producers are not interested in paying for the support people to control such.

If you decide to play this game, expect that others will be abusing the rules extensively.

If you never heard from other players that they had macro programs then you would have never known.

Seriously, it is just the word of mouth.  Has this really affected you in any way?

Did you lose tons and tons of money in the Siege wars?

These are just some questions because many people seem to rant however not worthwhile.

Ya true, you have a point there. Since _PL_ disbanded, dont think its gonna be interesting playing columbus any longer coz BBS would rule the whole server.
