I have seen many things about different things like gnome suck at warrior but good at mage etc. but i was wondering along with others im sure whats the best pick for each class. Maybe not just stats maybe starting area is good or something like that. Like i said i was just  wondering along with others.

Their are only a few combinations that work exceptionally well. For example, undead make very good warlocks. However almost all legal class / race combinations are very viable. When choosing a race, ignore the stat bonuses (they become neglible after a few levels) and look at the racial abilities. If you are interested in starting areas, blood elves and draenei both have very good areas. Out of the non-expansion races, the undead starting area is probably best.

    You mentioned warriors:

Gnome warriors are actually fine. Their escape ability is very useful in PvP where they must maintain contact with the enemy in order to do damage.

Tauren warriors make good tanks due to their bonus health and warstomp is very useful in both pvp and pve

Undead warriors are good at grinding due to their racial cannibalism ability. They also have a very strong racial ability that allows them to resist fear.

Dwarf warriors get stoneform - which can be very ueseful in staying alive during those critical fights.

Human warriors get a bonus to their sword skill, and their reputation bonus will save a lot of time.

Night elf warriors can shadowmeld, charging enemies who thought they were crossing an empty field. They also get a bonus chance to dodge.

Orc warriors get extra axe skill and resist stuns.

Troll warriors get higher health regen, and a berserk ability

Draenei warriors boost other characters around them and get a racial self heal, again good for grinding

You get the idea. People will argue a lot about which class and race combo is best. Howeve the real answer is "whichever one you feel comfortable with playing"

Dwarf stone form also removes posion...which negates all rogue posions.

Orc get blood fury  which increases dps quite a bit but reduces healing to u by 50% for 15 sec.

For alliance,  I like Draenei cause you can heal yourself in combat and still save a potion..it reduces downtime a lot.

I dont think Races matter as much as they did in EQ but i know...

I like the Orc and Troll hunters because with troll +5 bow and then you can stack up at least 100% speed bonus on your shots so that helps alot and Orcs have the +5 beast master

But trolls 100% speed increase is nasty!

Well i told you hunters for the horde : )

But mages and Locks sorta go Undead and Blood elf

Since Orcs get 5% more pet damage they also make decent locks since their minions are considered pets. I know a lock's pet's damage isn't as important as a hunter's pet's, but 5% is 5%.

I hated that as an Undead warlock I had fear but couldn't use it when starting out because a lot of what I was fighting was Undead and is immune to fear. (No, I'm not one of those who spams fear, but when you're just starting out and not all-powerful yet, it can come in handy).

You can make any class/race combo successful and it really does come down to what works for you.

Blizz really doesn't make distinctions with races like some other games. If they did, people would be whining left and right. I mean a Gnome walks as fast as a Human? Wow, those are bouncy steps they take!

Yeah like i said Race isnt as big of a deal as it was in EQ

You can just about roll everything with anything :)

I dont know much about shammans but i think Taurens Where healers and Orcs where DPS and i dont see to many troll shammys

Horde have better racial pvp abilities.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
