Are ther Exp's I have to buy?

in EVE Online

Thinking bout trying the trial, If I like it, are there Expansions I have to buy or just the game for 20$?

Played: WoW, EVE, EQ, DDO, LoTRO, RoM, FFXI, Guild Wars, WAR, RuneScape, 2029 Online.
Currently Playing: RoM.
Waiting for: A Hardcore MMO =/

    Expansions are always free. Next one comes in about 1 1/2 months. One expansion roughly every 6 months.
