The Grind

I played this game around 4 years with a cousin when i was new to the mmorpg world, and I don't remember much about it. Was this game a harsh grind or is it worth getting back into casually?

Well bud, Myself and 2 of my friends started playing again about a week ago and the lvling is much faster then i remember. PVP is still solid on the Classic servers. If your not looking for pvp, alot has changed on the PVE side also camps where there used to not be camps and new quests to go along with them. Im just telling you this from my observations since ive been back. Im sure someone else has imput. IMO fire it up and give it another go, wouldnt hurt.

Compared to most other MMO's the grind isn't that bad at all.

It's harder to level up in WoW than it is in DAoC.

I can get a toon to 50 in a weekend.

This game was incredibly hard to grind when it first came out. Over the years DAOC (and many other games) saw how much of a turnoff grinding was and now made it much much quicker.

I dont know if you can do it in a weekend like the above poster (since you need to have a system and know where things are and what to kill etc), but I wager it wont take you longer than 2 weeks.

I think you can get to 50 in 2 days PVE up to lvl 20. Then just stay in the BG's and alway roll solo and you can make lvl 50 in no time. Because when you solo kill u get so much xp like a bub or a bub and a half.

BG= Battlegrounds...... bunch of em.... but the really active ones start at level 20

Where do you find the BG's?

Just find a teleporter and there is usually an option to go there.
