does my character/account still exist?

I played coh exactly 1 year ago and read they wiped the names clean on millions of accounts below lvl6, I had a lvl 50 and a 36 I think but have been inactive for a year. They were on Freedom server so I just wanted to know if they are still there?

Your characters are not deleted and if I read the terms correctly, you would still keep the name as well for your lvl 36 and 50.   No reason to alienate a possible returning customer who invested months into their characters(which would not be true in the case of a level 6).

Yes Tute is correct. Characters aren't deleted ever. Names are vulnerable if the character is below level 6, if the account has been inactive for more than 90 days, and if someone else on that same server wants that same name.

So high level characters are completely safe, and even with lower level ones it's pretty unlikely.

even if I uninstalled the game from my hard drive, my characters are still saved in the servers info correct?

Yes, the characters are stored on the server.

If you have any characters below level 6, you might need to rename them. But they're still stored on the server.

Your level 50 and level 36 should still be intact, names and all. Come on back.

The one exception is if you deleted them prior to closing your account. I have talked to a couple of people who thought that they would not be returning, and when they did, forgot that they had wiped their accounts clean. That was a total downer !
